A new The Precinct update 1.700 is available to download on PS5. According to The Precinct version 1.700.000 patch notes, the latest update focuses heavily on bug fixing (collision, falling, AI getting stuck, UI issues), polishing core systems (police AI behaviors, Kelly’s behavior, arrest/escort mechanics), improving stability (crash fixes), and adding a crucial safety net (Restore Previous Save). Apart from this The Precinct patch 1.700 also includes quality-of-life improvements (car alarms, Steam Cloud profile handling) and visual/audio polish (ambulance lights, SFX sync, character display).

Major New Feature:

Restore Previous Save: Added to the Play Game menu. Only visible if a backup save exists. Use with caution: Restores the backup save but overwrites your current auto-save. Primarily for recovering lost saves.
Gameplay Fixes & Improvements:

Obstacles: Fixed obstacles staying on the road after unlocking the second island.

Player Damage: Player no longer takes damage from other police officers.

Aiming: Fixed being able to aim weapons while riding the subway.

UI: Fixed ammo crate UI markers displaying during the bank robbery news cutscene.

Collision: Fixed collision in Kavanaugh’s Bar to prevent Kelly getting stuck in the door.

Climbing: Fixed climbing issues when opening the radial menu at the top of a ladder.

Falling: Fixed falling out of the world when driving into water. Fixed edge cases where characters could fall out of the world.

Steam Cloud: Steam Cloud will no longer copy profile settings (improves experience switching between Steam Deck and PC).

Helicopter Patrol: Additional fixes implemented.

Escort Units: Fixed escort units staying in place after the suspect is arrested.

NPC Pathing: Fixed a number of issues when NPCs were walking away. Fixed issues with NPCs running in the air.

Suspect Pathing: Fixed issue with fence-vaulting suspects falling through world if hit by a car.
Visual & Audio Fixes:

Character Display: Fixed wrong characters displayed if the Turkish language pack is installed.

SFX Sync: Fixed Precinct garage doors SFX being significantly out of sync with the animation.

Ambulance Lights: Ambulance siren lights changed to more accurately mimic real-world EMS.
