The Finals version 1.000.055 (4.2.0) is now available to download on PC, PS5 and Xbox players. According to the official The Finals 4.2.0 patch notes, the latest update brings several balance changes, bug fixes, and improvements have been implemented across weapons, gadgets, and game modes. Additionally, The Finals patch 1.000.055 also improve game stability, performance, and gameplay experience.

Animation
- Fixed: Grenade throw animation now continues while high vaulting.
Gadgets
- Defibrillator: Resolved a bug where revives were blocked by friendly Mesh and Dome shields.
Game Modes
- World Tour:
- Defender Bonus: Disabled the quicker respawn time bonus for defenders in the final round.
- Underdog Bonus: New feature reduces individual and squad respawn timers to 20 seconds when a player leaves the match.
Gameplay
- Melee Aim Assist: Fixed a bug where aim assist was not reset when restoring default settings.
- Revive Hologram: Fixed an issue where it would block bullets.
- Goo Hit Indicator: Updated visuals for when hit by goo.
Stability & Performance
- Launch Time: Improved speed from application startup to main menu.
- Animation: Performance improvements leading to better overall game performance.
UI
- Text Chat and Event Log: Fixed an issue where these would not display at the end of a round.
- SR-84: Correctly labeled as a “Marksman Rifle.”
- World Tour: Fixed a bug where the World Tour Tally Charm was not awarded.
A major update 1.8 was released recently, that added new changes, gameplay adjustments, and more. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players have been experiencing issues with the game.
