The Finals update 1.000.029 is now available to download on PC, PS5 and Xbox players. According to the official The Finals 2.6 patch notes, the latest update introduces Terminal Attack, a thrilling 5v5 mode in mid-season event. Apart from this, today’s The Finals patch 2.6.0 also includes a long list of bug fixes.
A major update 1.8 was released recently, that added new changes, gameplay adjustments, and more. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players have been experiencing issues with the game. Today’s The Finals version 1.000.029 will fix a few of these issues. The upcoming The Finals patch 2.7 will address the remaining issues.

Mid-Season Event: Terminal Attack
Welcome to the Terminal Attack mode!
Terminal Attack is a new 5v5 mode where players compete in a single-life, attack-and-defend battle. Contestants aim to deliver a decryption key to the terminal, with the best of seven rounds securing victory. Attackers must complete the upload while defenders strive to prevent it.
Gameplay Features:
- No healing or revival; one life only.
- Health regenerates up to 100 hp, but gadgets do not regenerate, so strategy is key.
- Play in SYSHorizon, Monaco, and Las Vegas arenas, with destruction carrying over through all rounds.
Event Cosmetics: Cash in contracts to earn event cosmetics supporting CNS and VAIIYA. Whose side are you on?

Update Highlights:
- Private matches now start with as few as 2 players.
- Power Shift mode added with a new arena in Seoul.
- New outfit bundle in the store allows individual item purchases.
Anti-Cheat Measures: We’re actively combating cheating with Easy-Anti Cheat and additional layers of prevention methods and tools. Offenders face temporary or permanent bans, and we encourage video reports on Discord for hard evidence.

Balance Changes:
- Barricade: Increased size by 20%.
- Glitch Grenade: Updated effect to pass through Mesh Shields and Dome Shields.
- Stun Gun: Adjusted to lower movement speed and restrict certain actions for stunned players.
- Vanishing Bomb: Cloaking effect impact reduced for visibility.
- FCAR: Damage decreased, magazine size increased, and fall-off damage adjusted.
Maps:
- Adjustments made to traversal options and spawn points in Monaco’s Power Shift.
Specializations:
- Cloaking Device’s impact reduced for visibility when moving.
Content and Bug Fixes:
- New animations added for Dagger and Sword.
- Audio tweaks for enemy footsteps and dematerialize/rematerialize sounds.
- Two bonus Battlepass pages added.
- Various fixes for character outfits, controller gyro aiming, and stability issues.
- Graphics improvements and collision adjustments on maps.
- Private matches now require only 2 players to start.
- Ranked Tournaments size and duration adjusted for better matchmaking.
- Additional controller gyro aiming options added for precision control.
- Flashbang and other gadgets fixed and improved.
- Power Shift mode now available in private matches.
- Various UI enhancements and bug fixes.
Security and Anti-Cheat: Added requirements for Secure Boot and implemented new suspension rules and anomaly detection measures to combat cheating.
