The Finals Update 1.000.022 Patch Notes (Patch 2.1.0)

The Finals update 1.000.022 is now available to download on PC, PS5 and Xbox players. According to the official The Finals 2.1 patch notes, the latest update brings a new development to private matches. Apart from this, today’s The Finals patch 2.1 also added map selection to the feature so you can play in the arena of your choice.

A major update 1.8 was released recently, that added new changes, gameplay adjustments, and more. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players have been experiencing issues with the game. Today’s The Finals version 1.000.022 will fix a few of these issues.

Private Matches:

  • Map Selection: Players now have the option to choose the map when starting a private match.
  • Lobby Exiting: Fixed a problem where players would get stuck trying to join a game server after leaving a private lobby.
  • Crossplay Settings: Addressed an issue where party members with different crossplay settings could experience difficulty leaving private match lobbies.
  • Crossplay Requirement: Resolved a bug where players could bypass the “Crossplay ON” requirement for private matches, leading to a softlock.

Console:

  • Crash Fix: Resolved a crash related to audio.

Power Shift – Map Changes:

  • Monaco: Various fixes and improvements including addressing clipping issues with jump pads, adding a zip line for smoother traversal, and refining spawn point placement.
  • Skyway Stadium: Added a jump pad outside the construction spawn area and adjusted spawns to ensure players are positioned safely.
  • General: Fixed objective count score display in the summary screen.

Maps:

  • SYS$HORIZON: Improved performance and polish, adjusted collision to prevent players from getting stuck, and balanced spawn locations.
  • Monaco: Corrected spawn imbalance issues, fixed destruction effects, and adjusted object placements.
  • Seoul: Fixed destruction effects on concrete fences.
  • Tutorial: Addressed missing destruction effects in various assets.

Weapons & Gadgets:

  • Damage Consistency: Fixed a bug causing inconsistent damage from explosives triggered simultaneously and corrected recoil behavior on burst weapons.
  • Gateway Ammo: Rectified an issue where Gateway ammo was not refunded properly when thrown into an APS.
  • Zipline Behavior: Enhanced zipline behavior for better player direction.
  • Dematerializer Ability: Improved dematerializer ability for objects close to each other.
  • Mesh Shield: Removed the ability to equip the mesh shield during defib revive.

Art:

  • Hairstyle Updates: Adjusted shoulder-length hairstyles to prevent clipping.
  • Sweater Fix: Resized ÖRF Sweater sleeves to prevent obstruction during ADS.

UI/UX:

  • Social Syncs: Ensured social syncs are not excluded if a user is already logged in.
  • Carriable Objects: Fixed a bug causing carriable objects to weigh more with active Ping markers attached.
  • Contract Text: Corrected text errors on certain contracts.
  • Tutorial Videos: Addressed overflowing text in item tutorial videos.

Audio:

  • Seek-to-Start: Fixed seek-to-start time issue.
  • Season Vignette: Corrected audio for the Season vignette.

Balance Changes:

  • SA1216 Weapon: Reduced fire rate from 230RPM to 200RPM and decreased damage per pellet from 7 to 6.
  • Glitch Grenades: Altered to trigger on impact when hitting mesh shields and dome shields, bouncing on other surfaces.
  • Glitch Traps: Modified to trigger on impact when hitting mesh shields and dome shields.

Security:

  • Improvements: Enhanced prevention and detection measures.
  • Ban Progression: Implemented a 3-strike ban progression system.
