The Division 2 Update 2.20 Patch Notes (Y7S3.3): Bloody Valentine Event

The Division 2 update 2.20 (Y7S3.3) is available to download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to the official Division 2 2.20 patch notes, the Bloody Valentine update reintroduces Reanimated with expanded modifier compatibility, adds Mutiny Stretch Goals for post–Tier 100 rewards, and enhances loot through Mutiny and Prestige Caches. The Climax Mission grants the updated Sheriff Exotic, while Optimization Surge boosts material gains. Apart from this, Division 2 patch 2.20 also resolve several mission, gear, and talent issues.

Patch Y7S3.3 Key Changes

  • Bloody Valentine event brings back Reanimated and allows simultaneous use of Seasonal Modifiers and NPC Companions.

  • Climax Mission now grants the Sheriff Exotic Super 90 and includes balance updates.

  • Optimization Surge event doubles Optimization Materials.

  • Multiple mission, gear-clipping, and talent functionality fixes applied.


Bloody Valentine Event

Event Window: February 12–26

  • Reanimated Global Event returns.

  • Seasonal Modifiers can now be used simultaneously with the Global Event.

  • NPC Companion deployment enabled during the event.


Mutiny Stretch Goals

Availability: February 17 through season end

  • Becomes accessible after reaching Season Pass Tier 100.

  • Progression continues only through gameplay, not level skips.

  • Standard Season Pass XP sources continue to apply, including XP Multiplier Event bonuses.

Reward Track

  • Two cache types: Mutiny Cache and Prestige Mutiny Cache.

  • Prestige cache appears at Tier 10 and offers improved exotic and named drop chances.

  • Sheriff updated: now uses a magazine; reload time adjusted to 3.65 seconds.


Optimization Surge – Resource Multiplier Event

Event Window: February 20–24

  • Earn double Optimization Materials from all sources.


Other Fixes

  • Fixed skills attacking Hyenas or failing in Y7S2 Master Climax Mission Beat 05.

  • Fixed clipping on BTSU Blizzard Mask with certain hoodies.

  • Fixed Woodsman boots remaining visible under certain outfits.

  • Fixed device malfunctions in Y7S2 Master Climax Mission Beat 04.

  • Fixed Immobilize and Perfect Immobilize ceasing to function when duplicated across weapons.

Previously, a major Division 2 update 1.17 added Winter event which introduced seasonal encounters, rewards, and community challenges alongside Twitch Drops.
