Tekken 8 Update 1.009.001 Patch Notes (v1.09) for PS5, PC & Xbox

Tekken 8 update 1.009.001 (1.09) is available to download on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official Tekken 8 version 1.009.001 patch notes, the latest update restricts old replay accessibility, modifies matchmaking behavior, introduces HUD display improvements, and balances specific character moves. Apart from this, the latest Tekken 8 update 1.009.001 also adds new Tekken Shop items.

Replay Modes and Data Changes

  • Downloaded Replays & My Replay & Tips
    • Replays from before the update will no longer be accessible.
  • Online Replay
    • All previous replay data is permanently deleted.
  • Super Ghost Battle / Ghost Match
    • Updated ghost data reflects character adjustments post-update. No data loss.

Tekken Shop Updates

  • New Costumes and Packs
    • Mishima Family Armor Pack and Miko Battle Pack: Available for 400 Tekken Coins each.
    • Hoodie (Tekken 30th) Set: Free customization item for a playable character.
    • Vampire Set and Angel Set: Avatar items available for 300 Tekken Coins each.

Tekken Fight Lounge

  • Special Ghost Defeats and Rewards
    • Revived Tekken King (Heihachi avatar): Rewards include “Azure Dragon Mask,” “Vermilion Bird Mask,” “Tekken Monk’s Robe,” “Staff,” and “Hat.”
    • Harada_TEKKEN (Harada avatar): Includes “Tekken 30th Anniversary” hit effect, title plate, and title.

Matchmaking Adjustments

  • Ranked Match & Quick Match
    • If a match isn’t made with a found opponent, the search range will no longer expand automatically.

Battle UI Improvements

  • HUD Display in Foreground Setting
    • Option added to prevent health gauges and heat timers from being obscured by characters.
    • Toggle available in Options > Screen Settings > HUD Display in Foreground.

Playable Characters Balance

  • Movement and Performance Adjustments
    • Minor balance tweaks for specific characters’ moves to adjust overpowered attacks.

 

Character Command/Situation Category Changes
Regarding battle balance adjustments for the V1.09 update In V1.09, in addition to bug fixes, minor balance adjustments were made with the aim of suppressing some overpowered move performances, as outlined in the previous update announcement.
Common Heat Burst Behavior It was fixed so that certain inputs could no longer be performed after a K.O.
Common Special Style Behavior Fixed an issue in which tracking for some attacks would be removed in certain situations.
Balance Direction – Alisa In V1.09, adjustments were made to Alisa’s techniques that tended to lead to low-risk and passive strategies.
Alisa ↘1+2 Balance Changed the damage from “15” to “12.”
Alisa During Destructive Form → 1+2 Balance Changed the chip damage on block from “10” to “6.” Changed the chip damage on block during Heat from “15” to “10.”
Alisa →→ 1+2 Balance Reduced the recovery time inflicted on the opponent by 2 frames when the move is blocked, resulting in a change from a frame advantage of “-10F” to “-12F” on block.
Balance Direction – Dragunov In V1.09, along with bug fixes, adjustments were made to suppress the performance of some of Dragunov’s overly powerful moves.
Dragunov During Heat Behavior The duration of the attack and the hitbox of the third attack have been adjusted to make it less likely to hit opponents behind you.
Dragunov ↘1+2 Balance Changed the damage from “17” to “14.”
Dragunov →→ 1+2 Balance To make it easier to evade through sidestepping, the following performance adjustments were made: Tracking performance of the second attack has been reduced when the first attack misses. The hitbox of the second attack has been reduced when the first attack misses.
Dragunov During Sneak (↓↘↘↗↗) Balance The opponent’s behavior on hit has been altered to not induce wall stun.
Balance Direction – Heihachi In V1.09, in addition to fixing unintended behaviors, Heihachi underwent balance adjustments to address the issue of excessively high combo damage while in the “Warrior Instinct” state.
Heihachi Warrior Instinct Behavior A fix was implemented to address an issue in which the Ultimate Count would not increase when certain stage gimmicks were triggered upon hit with a Heat Engager.
Heihachi Behavior The issue where the recovery time became longer than intended when countered by the opponent’s Power Crush has been fixed.
Heihachi With Warrior Instinct ↓↘↗ 1+2 Balance It has been adjusted so that the opponent can now perform a side ukemi when hit in midair.
Nina While rising Behavior The issue where a transition to a throw occurred on an airborne hit has been corrected.
Devil Jin During Rage Behavior Fixed an issue in which the round timer progresses during the Rage Art animation when it hits Heihachi.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved error occurring after selecting “Go to Replay List” on the online match result screen.

Previously, a major Tekken 8 update 1.05 added various tweaks and changes. Unfortunately, since the last major patch, players are experiencing various network errors with the game. The upcoming Tekken 8 update 1.009.001 will fix a remaining issues.
