Team Fortress 2 Update Patch Notes on July 7, 2026

A new Team Fortress 2 update is available to download on PC. According to the official Team Fortress 2 patch notes, the Summer 2026 update introduces six community maps, new cosmetic and War Paint collections, four taunts, and 12 Unusual effects. It also fixes numerous gameplay, visual, and weapon issues while improving cp_fortezza, cp_powerhouse, and koth_blowout with gameplay and map enhancements.

  • Added six new community maps and Summer 2026 seasonal content.
  • Introduced new cosmetic, War Paint, taunt, and Unusual effect collections.
  • Fixed multiple gameplay, visual, weapon, and UI issues.

  • Added six new community maps:

    • Shorelight
    • Redwood
    • Premuda
    • Mojave
  • Added the Summer 2026 Cosmetic Case.
  • Included 24 new community-created cosmetic items.
  • Cases have a chance to award a Taunt Unusualifier as a bonus item.
  • Added four new taunts to the Mann Co. Store:
    • Taunt: The Circuit Breaker
    • Taunt: Buffoon’s Bivouac
    • Taunt: Faux-calization
    • Taunt: Friendly Fire
  • Added 12 new community-created Unusual effects.
  • Included seven new hat effects.
  • Included five new taunt effects.
  • Added the Summer 2026 War Paint Case.
  • Added 10 new community-created War Paints in the Summer 2026 Collection.
  • Cosmetic and taunt cases award Summer 2026 Unusual effects during the event instead of their standard effects. Crates are excluded.
  • The Summer event runs until September 15, 2026.

General

  • Improved security and overall game stability.
  • Fixed incorrect alpha channels for several cosmetic items and backpack icons.
  • Corrected the BLU version of the Neo Tokyo War Paint to match the RED version.
  • Fixed Stat Clock attachment issues on dropped weapons.
  • Fixed Stat Clock values displaying incorrectly on world models.
  • Fixed the intelligence carrier glow disappearing when Spy cloaks.
  • Corrected cubemap issues on the Silver Botkiller Mk.I.
  • Fixed a texture spelling error on cp_well.
  • Corrected sound event paths for several taunts.
  • Fixed Spy control point voice responses while disguised or cloaked.
  • Fixed weapon Unusual effects.
  • Fixed particles remaining after player death.
  • Fixed the Energy Orb Unusual effect losing sync with weapons during sharp movement.
  • Fixed visual effects covering the screen while spectating teammates with Unusual weapons.
  • Restored the missing coin effect for HOUWAR’s second style.
  • Updated the Splendid Screen description.
  • Reduced the startup delay on the Panic Attack firing sound.
  • Fixed the Engineer becoming temporarily unable to move after using Taunt: Cheers!

Map Updates

cp_powerhouse
  • Fixed collision issues involving crates near the final control points.
cp_fortezza
  • Reworked the shack interior near Point A.
  • Rebalanced ammo pack placement around Point A.
  • Improved map visuals.
  • Shortened the shortcut path rotation.
koth_blowout
  • Prevented sentry guns from being built inside a prop beneath the maintenance room stairs.
  • Improved visual clarity and consistency.

Since the last Team Fortress patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s Team Fortress 2 patch will fix a few of these issues.
