Starfield Update 1 Patch Notes for PC & Xbox Series X/S

Starfield update 1 (1.7.29) is available to download on PC and Xbox. According to the official Starfield patch notes, the latest update addresses major issues, provides balance changes, and quality of life improvements. Apart from this, Starfield patch 1 also increased trait caps, archetype adjustments, weapon balancing, bug fixes, and more.

Recently, the game was released with positive reviews. Unfortunetly, since the release, players are experiencing various bug fixes and errors. Today’s Starfield version 1.7.29 will fix a few of these issues.

Starfield Patch 1 Patch Notes – September 13, 2023

Performance and Stability
  • Xbox Series X|SImproved stability related to installations.
  • Various stability and performance improvements to reduce crashes and improve framerate.
Quests
  • All That Money Can Buy: Fixed an issue where player activity could result in a quest blocker.
  • Into the Unknown: Fixed an issue that could prevent the quest from appearing after the game is completed.
  • Shadows in Neon:Fixed an issue where player activity could result in a quest blocker.

Upcoming Features (PC):

  • Brightness and Contrast controls
  • HDR Calibration Menu
  • FOV Slider
  • Nvidia DLSS Support
  • 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support
  • Eat button for food!

Driver Support:

  • The development team is working closely with Nvidia, AMD, and Intel on driver support, and each update will include new stability and performance improvements.

Built-in Mod Support (Creations):

  • Bethesda Game Studios is working on built-in mod support that will work across all platforms, similar to what was done with Skyrim and Fallout 4.
  • Full mod support is planned to launch early next year.
  • The PC community is already active in modding, and feedback on how to improve mod support is welcome.
