Starfield update 1.000.006 is available to download on PS5. According to the official Starfield patch notes, the latest update fixes planet surface freezes, Black Box Incursion progression, scanner-related load door lockups, and ship furnishing crashes. Apart from this, today’s Starfield patch 1.000.006 also improves Starmap icons, character creation textures, Points of Interest placement, and reduces excessive asteroids during a space encounter.

General
- Fixed a freeze that could occur while traveling across a planet surface.
- Resolved an issue that prevented Black Box Incursions from starting or resetting correctly.
- Fixed a crash triggered by placing a Designer Couch aboard a ship.
- Addressed an infinite loading issue caused by placing a data slate display aboard a ship.
- Implemented additional crash and stability improvements.
Gameplay
- Fixed an unresponsive state that could occur when entering load doors while using the scanner.
- Corrected an issue that caused Delta to appear at the wrong size.
- Fixed Quantum Essence being usable through Favorites when none was available.
- Updated several Points of Interest so they no longer appear on planets without human presence.
- Reduced the excessive number of asteroids appearing during a specific space encounter.
User Interface
- Loading a save now removes incorrectly displayed Incursion icons from the Starmap.
- Fixed an unresponsive state that could occur in the vehicle menu.
- Resolved a character creation texture issue affecting character models.
- Fixed text strings that caused incorrect font rendering.
- Updated the game credits.
