A new Stardew Valley update 1.6.6 is rolling out on Android & iOS. According to the official Stardew Valley 1.6.6 patch notes, the latest update adds gameplay adjustments like bee houses working with potted flowers, and translation tweaks such as reverting Chinese text. Apart from this, Stardew Valley patch 1.6.6 also includes bug fixes like resolving issues with NPC interactions and soft locks.
Previously, a big major update 1.5 added an entirely new region of the world, Ginger Island (part of the Fern Islands). Unfortunately, some players are still experiencing issues with the game. The upcoming Stardew Valley update 1.7 will fix a few of these issues.

Stardew Valley 1.6.6 patch notes – April 26, 2024
Balance and Gameplay Changes:
- Bee houses now function with flowers in garden pots.
- The “Minecart depot” layout change is now restricted to upper or lava mine areas.
- Gold clock can now be toggled on or off.
- Raccoons now trade coal for mahogany seeds.
- 50% mastery XP is now specifically for farming, as initially intended.
Translation Changes:
- Chinese text reverted to 1.6.3 version.
- Default Chinese font reverted to original.
- Added option to use smooth font introduced in 1.6.4.
- Dialogue font size slider added for Chinese.
- Russian translation for movie & desert festival sprites completed.
- Option added for Russian to use “old” font.
Bug Fixes:
- Mr. Raccoon disappearance during multiplayer cutscene fixed.
- Ability to trash or give away Pierre’s Missing Stocklist corrected.
- Giving a wilted bouquet to spouse fixed.
- Issue causing only 1 omni geode from skull cavern chest resolved.
- Crash from invalid animal home data fixed.
- Crash when talking to Penny in French fixed.
- Malformed Willy farm event in German fixed.
- Blocking map tile in Forest Farm map corrected.
- Machines and desert festival logic now work for Linux/macOS compatibility branch.
- Inaccessible area in volcano dungeon fixed.
- Sewer event in German fixed.
- Mayor Lewis’ giftbox note repetition fixed.
- Emily makeover event made easier to skip.
- Calico Egg Rating prize edge cases for farmhands fixed.
- Prismatic hat effects now work in French.
- Advancing ready check menu issue fixed.
- Island outfits now loaded for farmhands.
- Minor optimizations applied.
Fixes for Modded Players:
- Non-flavored roe item error fixed.
- Error with NPC’s ‘friends and family’ data set to null fixed.
- Error loading save with enchanted weapons ID change or removed data fixed.
- Soft lock watching weather TV channel with custom tomorrow’s weather fixed.
- Temporary maps without seasonal tilesheets now use correct tiles.
- Summit cutscene showing custom fish with wrong sprites fixed.
