Space Marine 2 Update 1.010 Patch Notes (Patch 10) – Sept. 4, 2025

Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 update 1.010 (version 1.010.000) is available to download on PS5, Xbox and PC(Steam). According to the official Space Marine 2 1.010 patch notes, the latest update 10 introduces Operation Vortex, new weapons like the Power Axe and Pyreblaster, the Helbrute Onslaught PvP mode, and expanded progression. Apart from this, WH40K Space Marine 2 version 1.010.000 also includes balancing changes for firearms, melee, and abilities as well as adds numerous fixes and optimisations.

Space Marine 2 Patch 10 Highlights

• New Operation: Vortex featuring the Mutalith Vortex Beast boss.
• New enemies including Chaos Spawn variations.

NEW FEATURES

Operation: Vortex

• New PvE Operation set in the Astropathic Relay on Avarax.

• Objective: Cleanse heretical presence and defeat the Mutalith Vortex Beast.

New Enemies

• Mutalith Vortex Beast: Warp-twisted monstrosity, unleashing chaos storms and claw strikes.

• Chaos Spawn Variations: Majoris enemies with mutated limbs and diverse melee attacks.

New Weapons

• Power Axe (PvE & PvP)

  • Fast chaining combos.

  • Classes: Vanguard, Assault, Bulwark.

  • Perfect parry unlocks Power Stance with tactical choices (Power Wave or extended combo).

• Pyreblaster & Pyrecannon (PvE)

  • Classes: Tactical, Heavy.

  • Flames apply burning damage over time and slow Minoris enemies.

New PvE Mode: Stratagems

• Dynamic battlefield conditions (daily & weekly).

• Completing Stratagems grants Accolades currency.

• Reworked Refinement & Redemption Shop:

  • Redeems Community Giveaways & Accolade items.

  • Added 6 Heroic Weapons and 6 Heroic Armour Pieces.

New PvP Mode: Helbrute Onslaught

• Teams fight for control points to command the Helbrute.

• Random player controls Helbrute with Thunder Hammer, Plasma Cannon, and Battle Cry heal.

• Killing enemy Helbrute grants high points.

New PvP Content

• New Map: Bridge.

• 6 Chaos Relic Armour Sets unlockable via Eternal War kills.

• New Ordeals and New Finishers:

  • Power Axe full set.

  • All melee weapons vs. Chaos Spawn.

  • 1 new finisher vs. Biovore.

• Champion Armour Customisation: Mix Champion parts across classes.

• Season Pass: Black Templars Champion Pack & Imperial Fists Cosmetic Pack.

GAMEPLAY & BALANCING

Firearms

• Bolt Pistol: Headshot multiplier increased to 1.25.

• Master-Crafted / Salvation of Bakka / Gathalamor Crusade Pistols: Higher spread & recoil reduction.

• Auto Bolt Rifle:

  • Base damage +25%.

  • Damage falloff after 20m (-25%).

  • Headshot multiplier increased to 1.25.

• Heavy Bolt Rifle: Headshot multiplier raised to 1.25–1.35 depending on version.

Melee

• Chainsword & Power Sword: Increased block speed.

• Thunder Hammer:

  • Faster attack speed.

  • AoE radius increased by 50%.

Abilities

• Bulwark: New charged Shield Bash attack.

• Sniper: Camo Cloak cooldown +10s.

• Assault: Ground Pound preparation faster for Chainsword, Power Fist, and Power Axe.

• Bulwark Shield Stance: Can be broken with heavy damage.

Other Weapon Adjustments

• Las Fusil: Faster charging.

• Stalker Bolt Rifle: Faster fire rate.

• Occulus Bolt Carbine: Full damage range extended.

• Marksman Bolt Carbine: Higher headshot multiplier.

• Plasma Incinerator: Common shot damage -15%.

PROGRESSION

• Extended Arsenal: Power Axe added to PvP loadouts.

• XP Recalculation: Faster progression.

• New Max Level: Level cap increased to 48.

PVP & CUSTOMISATION

• New announcer events.

• New Champion Armour mixing system.

• Minor customisation fixes.

OPERATIONS & SIEGE MODE

• Reliquary: Less aggressive spawns, fixed ammo crate spawn.

• General Fixes: Geometry, stuck enemies, and AI improvements.

• Siege Mode: Stability and performance upgrades.

AI IMPROVEMENTS

• Carnifex: Reduced aggressiveness and ranged accuracy.

• General animation fixes.

GENERAL FIXES

• Fixed bugs with Adrenaline Surge, Auspex Scan, Bulwark perks, and Assault Jump Pack.

• Numerous localisation, UI, and collision fixes.

TECH

• Crash fixes and stability improvements.

• General connectivity updates.
