A new Sons Of The Forest update 3 is available on PC(Steam). According to the official Sons Of The Forest patch notes, the latest update adds new changes and improvements. Apart from this, Sons Of The Forest patch 3 also includes stability and performance improvements.

New Changes
Map markers have received an upgrade, allowing up to 5 markers and new controls for adding useful information.
- Pings are a new system for communicating with teammates while using reconnaissance tools. Double tapping the ping key places a ping visible to all teammates; single tapping places a contextual ping. A radial menu is available for additional options, and single tapping a ping cancels it.
- A double saddle item allows two players to mount and ride a horse, in addition to the old single-seater saddle.
- World model refresh includes new models for different types of shotgun shells, and improvements for HV, incendiary, and normal rockets, snap traps, road sign gloves, and shotgun ammo.
- Gameplay analytics now record more detailed gameplay stats on official servers.
- Doors can now be placed on top of deployables.
- Additional fixes and optimizations include CPU affinity and priority settings and multithreaded networking.
