Titan Forge Games has released a new Smite update 12.48 (Smite 9.3 Update) released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official Smite 12.48 patch notes, the latest Light Weaver update adds a new god (IX Chel) and G.I. Joe crossover event. Apart from this, Smite version 12.48 also includes balancing changes and bug fixes.
Previously, a big season update added Shiva – The Destroyer to the game. Unfortunately, since the last major patch, players are experiencing several issues with the game. Today’s Smite patch 12.48 will fix a few of these issues.

New Maya God
Passive – Rainbow Weaver
- Every time Ix Chel hits an enemy god or provides an allied god with a beneficial effect she gains one color of the rainbow. On obtaining all 6, her next basic attack has no movement penalty, is increased in size and deals bonus damage.
- Bonus damage: 40% of your Magical Power
Ability 1 – Gleaming Blast
- Ix Chel fires a blast of gleaming light ahead of her dealing damage, piercing minions, and stopping on the first enemy god hit. Minions and Jungle Camps take an extra +40% damage. Hitting an enemy causes this ability to change.
- Max Range: 70
- Damage: 60/80/100/120/140 (+40% of your Magical Power)
- Cost: 40/45/50/55/60
- Cooldown: 6s
Ability 1 alternate – Threads of Light
- Ix Chel weaves together strands of light which fully illuminate after a short delay damaging enemies in their path. Enemies facing the strands as they illuminate are Blinded for 1s. Enemies hit by the tip of the field, where all the strands meet, take bonus damage. On fire, this ability turns back into Gleaming Blast and the cooldown begins.

- Damage: 70/115/160/205/250 (+55% of your Magical Power)
- Bonus Damage: 30%

Ability 2 – Lunar Invocation
- Ix Chel marks an area on the ground invoking it with lunar energy. After a short delay the energy explodes Knocking up and dealing damage to enemies while Healing allies.
- Range/Radius: 55/20
- Damage: 95/145/195/245/295 (+70% of your Magical Power)
- Heal: 50/85/120/155/180
- Cost: 65
- Cooldown: 15s
Ability 3 – Rainbow Crash
- Ix Chel sends out an arcing, weaved rainbow towards a location while gaining a small burst of Movement Speed. On landing the crashing rainbow deals damage and Roots enemies, splitting into smaller orbs of light. These orbs can be picked up by Ix Chel and her allies for increased Movement Speed.
- Range/Radius: 55/15
- Damage: 80/120/160/200/240 (+75% of your Magical Power)
- Root Duration: 1.25s
- Movement Speed on cast and from orbs: 20% for 3s
- Cost: 50/55/60/65/70
- Cooldown: 14/13.5/13/12.5/12
Ultimate – Great End
- Ix Chel becomes CC immune and channels all of her energy into a single intense beam of light. The beam deals damage to enemies and heals allies every 0.2s for 3s, increasing in duration if Ix Chel can do both at the same time. Enemies take increasing damage per tick which decays rapidly if not hit recently. Healing an ally also heals Ix Chel. Ix Chel gains 6 stacks of Rainbow Weaver on firing.

- Damage per tick: 14/23/32/41/50 (+7.5% of your Magical Power)
- Heal per tick: 2% Missing HP
- Subsequent damage increase: 5%
- Maximum Damage Increase Per Target: 100%

G.I. JOE CROSSOVER EVENT
Welcome to the G.I. JOE event in SMITE! Get ready to join the iconic heroes and villains of the beloved franchise in an action-packed adventure like never before. QUALITY OF LIFE
- The Maya Pantheon Icon
- has been Updated to be a more accurate symbol of Maya Mythology – it references the famous Maya civilization Chichen Itza.
- Leaps vs Persistent CC
- Leaping into a persistent CC area will now deal damage or apply any other effects of the leaps landing effect
- Previously, leaping into these areas would CC the leaping god and negate any damage or other effects from their leap ability
- Root Cripples
- This effect is now its own unique type of CC
- This effect now has a unique CC Debuff Bar Icon
- This effect applies 1 stack of DR
- This fixes a variety of issues where roots or cripples applied at the same time could last different durations and create mismatching CC effects
- Roots Immune to DR are now a possible CC effect
- At this time this only applies to Persephone’s Ultimate direct hit target, but could be used in future designs
- HUD Update
- We do plan to bring back and re-enable the New HUD for all platforms with 10.4, with a few big changes and extra criteria:
- Going forward, all players will have access to both the Old HUD and the New HUD – which can be toggled via the User Interface Settings
- No new HUD features will be available in the Old HUD, including the Console HUD editor
- PC Players will default to New HUD
- Console Players will default to the Old HUD, with option to opt into the new HUD if they are interested.
- More Navigation and Design improvements for the New Console HUD will be the top priority in future updates.
- Multiple issues affecting performance related to FPS or Network lag have been implemented, and will be monitored closely at launch. If performance still struggles in 10.4 we might disable the HUD again

- Fixed an issue where multiple HUD elements would move together while editing
- Removed the Ability Icon border flash that occurs at 1s remaining cooldown time
- Fixed an issue where some kill accolade popups would be overwritten by more recent kills. These will now queue up and show all kills, as the old HUD used to
