Quick Move

A new optional setting, Quick Move, allows players to disable unit movement animations for faster gameplay. This setting is disabled by default and can be toggled in the game settings menu.

Map Generation

A new default start position option, Standard, has been added. This method mirrors Civilization VI’s map generation, offering varied and unpredictable continent layouts. The previous start position method is now labeled Balanced and remains the default for multiplayer games. Balanced can be selected via Advanced Options. Additional updates for map variety, generation, and larger maps are planned for future releases.

Settlement and Commander Renaming

Players can now rename Settlements and Commander Units by clicking the pen icon in the upper-right corner of their respective menus.

UI Improvements

Several UI enhancements have been implemented:

  • Unit Flag and Health Bar Visibility: Increased visibility for unit health bars in the Unit panel and Settlement health bars.
  • Plot Tooltips: Tooltips now display the number of assigned Specialists and remaining slots.
  • District Under Attack Notification: A new alert triggers when districts are under attack.
  • Trade Lens: A new lens highlights available trade routes. Merchants can be sent directly to cities from the lens panel, though trade routes must still be initiated manually in earlier Ages.
  • Age Progress Wheel: Added indicators for the number of turns remaining before Crises trigger or escalate.
  • Restart Button: A restart button allows players to regenerate maps with the same settings and leader choices within the first few turns. This feature is unavailable after Age transitions or in multiplayer games.

Further UI updates will focus on readability, accessibility, and ease of use.

Mount Everest (Sagarmatha/Chomolungma) is now a Natural Wonder. When discovered, it grants +2 Happiness, +2 Influence, +2 Culture, and reveals all Mountain tiles on the continent.
