A new Sea of Thieves update 2.8.4 is rolling out on Xbox One and PC. According to the official Sea Of Thieves patch notes, the latest SOT update 2.8.4 introduces “The Legend of Monkey Island” Tall Tale, with new commendations and rewards. Apart from this Seas of Thieves patch 2.8.4 also adds new items, fixes gameplay issues, improves accessibility, enhances visuals and audio, and includes performance and stability improvements.
Previously, a big SOT update 2.8 added Season 9 update added Bury Treasure, Share Map, Cannon Rowboats, Fireworks, and Flares. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s SOT game update 2.8.4 will address a few of these issues.

Fixed Issues
- Gameplay:
- Resource barrels and treasure items now migrate with sinking rival ships.
- Captain’s Logbooks can be placed in a Collector’s Chest.
- Crews can purchase Resource Crates and Captain’s Supplies after losing a battle.
- Ship’s wheel is no longer affected by storm conditions underwater.
- Eligible players receive the Gilded Sovereign Captain’s Table.
- Trinkets knocked out of place can be interacted with after server migration.
- Visual and Audio:
- Hand visuals no longer intersect with certain weapon stocks.
- Dark Warsmith Ship’s Crest lanterns are correctly attached and move with the ship.
- Regular pirate cosmetics no longer overlap with Skeleton Curse.
- Water slide visuals now display correct splashes.
- Party Boat Cutlass shows visual trails when swung.
- What’s New video no longer overlays button images.
- Text and Localization:
- Clues on Lost Shipment Voyage are no longer cut off.
