Sea of Thieves Update 1.339.415 Patch Notes

A new Sea of Thieves update 1.339.415 is available to download on PS5, Xbox and PC. According to the official Sea Of Thieves version 1.339.415 patch notes, the latest update addresses a critical fishing rod bug, improves throwing knife mechanics, adjusts Burning Blade sinking rules, and enhances game stability with crash fixes. Apart from this Seas of Thieves patch 1.339.415 also includes stability fixes.

Hotfix: 20/09 – Fishing Rod Issues

  • Fishing Rod Bug Fixed: Resolved exploits and instability caused by the fishing rod bug.
  • Error Reductions: Elevated Marblebeard and Allmondbeard errors linked to this issue have been fixed.
  • Maintenance Time: Update applied during downtime on 20th September (13:00 UTC).

Hotfix: 26/09 – Upcoming Fixes

Throwing Knife Interactions

  • Collision Issues Fixed: Throwing knives no longer get stuck when hitting allied crew members.
  • Naval Combat Fix: Throwing knives can no longer disrupt the capstan during naval battles.

Burning Blade Adjustments

  • Disconnection Protection: The Burning Blade will no longer sink prematurely when the captain disconnects temporarily.
  • Natural Sinking Behavior: Burning Blade now sinks naturally if the crew leaves, instead of showing visual effects that it was handed in.

Burning Blade’s Skeleton Crew

  • Crew Reappearance Fixed: The Obsidian Skeleton crew will no longer disappear after reboarding the Burning Blade.

Crash Rate Improvements

  • Further Optimizations: Additional fixes to reduce game crashes, heading into testing next week.
