A new Sea of Thieves update 1.338.626 (3.12) is available to download on PS5, Xbox and PC. According to the official Sea Of Thieves version 1.338.626 patch notes, players can now sprint with most one-handed items stowed, the Blunderbuss knockback has been reduced, and throwing knives are faster. Apart from this Seas of Thieves patch 3.12 also includes new Pirate Emporium items as well as several gameplay, visual, and environment bugs fixes.
Previously, a big SOT update 2.8 added Season 9 update added Bury Treasure, Share Map, Cannon Rowboats, Fireworks, and Flares. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s SOT update 3.12 will address a few of these issues.

Sprinting with One-Handed Items
- Players can now sprint while carrying one-handed treasure items and discovered weapons.
- Most weapons, such as the Trident of Dark Tides and Ashen Winds Skull, can be stowed while sprinting.
- Exception: Sprinting is not allowed while holding the Skull of Siren Song.
Blunderbuss Balancing
- Knockback power reduced for better balance in defensive gameplay.
- Knockback range is shorter, requiring closer proximity to trigger.
- Knockback triggers with a single pellet hit, improving consistency.
- Players using ship interaction points like the wheel are now braced from full knockback effects.
Throwing Knife Balancing
- Reduced time to aim and increased throw speed.
- Improved controller rumble feedback for a smoother experience.
Pirate Emporium Updates
- New Stock:
- Iron Turtle Ship Collection (Cannon Flare coming in November).
- Iron Turtle Weapon and Clothing Bundles.
- Sunken Sorrow Curse Mau and Whippet.
- Tourist Emote Bundle.
- Returning: Well-Travelled Trader Ship and Clothing Bundles from Season 11 Plunder Pass.
- Free Item: Conductor Emote.
Outpost Cosmetics
- New Piscine Courtly Jacket and Corset Shirts available.
