Rust update 2.08 is available to download on PS4 and Xbox One. According to the official Rust Console 2.08 patch notes, the latest update improves gameplay stability, including projectile and horse-related bugs. In addition, Rust patch 2.08 also includes UI and visual updates.
Rust 2.08 Patch Notes – December 5, 2024
Gameplay
- Fixed: Certain occurrences of invalid projectile line-of-sight issues. Further investigation is ongoing.
- Resolved: Players can no longer glitch through walls by leading horses near them.
- Improved: Items thrown onto rowboats can now be picked up.
Visual
- Updated: Blackboard Large Wood Box skins now display the correct icon on the top side.
UI
- Fixed: Custom Vending Machine orders now show the correct number of items sold.
Known Issues
- Bug: The
hideadminstatusconvar is not functioning as intended.
Previously, a major Rust update 2.01 added Industrial components for automation, new backpacks, and a Nightlight feature for nighttime exploration. Enhancements to the Oil Rigs include Moonpools, and the Seismic Sensor detects nearby explosions. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing several issues while playing the game. Today’s Rust version 2.08 will fix a few of these issues.
