Rust update 1.99 is available to download on PS4 and Xbox One. According to the official Rust Console 1.99 patch notes, the latest update introduces active killzones for Underwater Labs, improved Small Oil Rig map display, and fixes Tugboat-related performance and gameplay issues. Apart from this, Rust patch 1.99 also include enhanced Tugboat effects and attire display.
Rust 1.99 Patch Notes – July 8, 2024
COMMUNITY SERVER CHANGES
- Killzone for the Underwater Labs monument is now active.
- Note: This will require a server map wipe to take effect.
GAMEPLAY
- Small Oil Rig name is now displayed on the Map.
- Fixed issue with mounting chairs on Tugboats:
- Mounting a chair on Tugboats no longer displays the “Change Seat” prompt and causes players to die.
- Performance fix for Tugboats:
- Resolved performance issues when Tugboats collide.
- Improved shooting accuracy on moving Tugboats:
- Players should experience a reduced amount of invalid shots when shooting at each other on moving Tugboats.
VISUAL
- Tugboat throttle effect optimized:
- Throttle effect no longer drops FPS when looked at.
- Improved Tugboat info screen resolution:
- Info screen is no longer low res/hard to read at higher FOV.
- Fixed visual issues with player attire:
- Players’ upper body attire will no longer be visually broken when changing skins.
KNOWN ISSUES
- “Flying” Submarines:
- Submarines may appear to “fly” as a side effect of changing the water level on Community Servers through server commands.
Previously, a major Rust Halloween update 1.64 added a new event, changes and improvements. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing several issues while playing the game. Today’s Rust version 1.99 will fix a few of these issues.
