Rust update 1.008.002 is available to download on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official Rust Console 1.008.002 patch notes, the latest Rust Console Edition update fixes a few instances of crashes at the Small Oil Rig. In addition, Rust patch 1.008.002 also addresses a bug where owned DLC items were not craftable on community servers.
Rust Patch 1.8.2 Patch Notes – December 12, 2025
- Fixed a few instances of crashes at the Small Oil Rig.
- Moving through the hotbar and inventory now displays the correct items.
- Players wearing the Arctic Hazmat alongside a backpack or parachute will no longer turn invisible when viewed by others from a certain distance.
- Fixed a bug where owned DLC items were not craftable on community servers.
- Fixed jittering issue when moving and rotating the camera around.
- Fixed the Industrial Conveyor taking in items from different sources after it has been disconnected.
Previously, a major Rust update 2.01 added Industrial components for automation, new backpacks, and a Nightlight feature for nighttime exploration. Enhancements to the Oil Rigs include Moonpools, and the Seismic Sensor detects nearby explosions. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing several issues while playing the game. Today’s Rust version 1.008.002 will fix a few of these issues.
