Risk of Rain 2 Update 1.20 Patch Notes (Alloyed Collective Patch 1.4.1)

Risk of Rain 2 update 1.20 (Alloyed Collective Patch 1.4.1) is now rolling out on PS4, PS5 and Xbox One players. According to the official Risk of Rain 2 update 1.20 patch notes, the latest update fixes soft-locks, corrected Repossess issues, rebalanced Solus enemies, and standardized item behaviors. Apart from this, ROR2 patch 1.20 also adds tuning for collective Elites, Tornado Slam, and Pocket ICBM, while major UI, shrine, logbook, and animation bugs were also resolved.

Alloyed Collective 1.4.1 Patch Notes

Summary of Key Changes

  • Solus and Alloy enemy balance updated, including health, armor, and ability tuning.

  • Major Repossess fixes for targeting, multi-shop issues, drone behavior, and multiplayer interactions.

  • Item/Equipment systems corrected, including Functional Coupler, temporary items, highlights, and Command interactions.

  • Collective Elite shield clarity improved and multiple VFX/UI inconsistencies resolved.

  • Numerous bug fixes preventing soft-locks, animation issues, incorrect item behavior, and map-specific problems.


Gameplay Balance

Enemy Adjustments

  • Solus Heart health +25% (6000→7500) and base damage increased (10→11).

  • Alloy Hunter health +20% (3000→3600).

  • Solus Wing weak points take 25% less proc-chain damage and now have correct adaptive armor (halved).

  • Solus Distributor spawn cooldown 10→11; mine health 60→20.

  • Collective Elite shields disable briefly on damage; immune feedback clarified; visuals reduced.

  • Solus Scorcher tanks now use a glassy material.

Ability & Mechanic Tuning

  • Networked Suffering shared damage 50%→45%.

  • Tornado Slam: base damage 170%→220%, final hit 400%→600%, junk generation increased; early-cancel no longer consumes a jump.

  • Warbonds now interact with Pocket ICBM (scaled appropriately).

  • Repossess no longer generates scrap from Junk Cubes.

Item & Drop Adjustments

  • Best Buddy always spawns from Orphaned Core, ignoring ally cap.

  • Solus Heart loot pool updated: now includes Hardlight Afterburner, Orphaned Core, Spare Drone Parts.

  • Mithrix now displays Boss-tier and DLC items; can use Meal Items (except Sautéed Worms).

  • Gold from Solus Extractor no longer transferred through Roll of Pennies.

  • Pocket ICBM affects Missile Drones when Operator uses Admin-Override.


World & UI Updates

Map and Shrine Improvements

  • Shrine of the Mountain spawns properly on Conduit Canyon with Artifact of Prestige; shrine and teleporter visuals turn pink.

  • Conduit Canyon “Intrusion Detected” message recolored to pink.

  • Additional jump pad added to Conduit Canyon.

Pickup & Display Highlighting

  • Custom pickup highlights added for Boss, Void, and Food items.

  • Equipment and “Follower” displays now highlight on pickup.

  • Void and Food Command pickups updated to match tier visuals.

Logbook & Visual Adjustments

  • Widespread logbook preview framing improvements.

  • Multiple grammar, spacing, and regeneration phrasing fixes.

  • Amalgamator hatches brightness corrected.

  • Drone propellers animate correctly in gameplay and logbook.

Repossess System

  • Correctly inherits encumbered state in multiplayer.

  • Multi-shop split issue resolved; highlight now targets base correctly.

  • Certain drones no longer get stuck when thrown.

  • Characters can be thrown correctly in Solutional Haunt.

  • Queued drones now correctly Repossess-able.

  • Junk Cube VFX no longer persists after destruction; cube now always spawns reliably.

  • Alpha Constructs die properly when thrown out of map.

Item & Equipment Systems

  • Prison Matrix and Longstanding Solitude disable correctly via item-disabling attacks.

  • Functional Coupler: equipment slots no longer reset cooldowns; no infinite consumables; extra equipment not dropped on disable.

  • Temporary items no longer incorrectly count as multiple.

  • Item displays persist when items are disabled; Scrapper no longer counts temporary items.

  • Multiple items fixed for Operator after stage transitions.

  • Meal-tier items, Tougher Times, and Mired Urn now accepted at Shrine of Rebirth.

  • Ultimate Meal buff decay corrected (3s delay).

Combat, Enemies & Bosses

  • Solus Wing corpse no longer cleaned prematurely (soft-lock fixed).

  • Drifter Tornado Slam multiplayer knockback fixed.

  • Voidsent Flame correctly procs on full-health hits.

  • Hiker’s Boots bonus now guaranteed from elevation.

  • Collective Elites display correct icons.

  • False Son boss targeting improved; multiple description/value corrections.

  • Solus Amalgamator spawn/despawn behavior fixed on Xbox.

System, UI & Misc

  • Framerate hitching reduced across all platforms.

  • Objective text now auto-spaces to avoid overlap.

  • Command + drones text no longer double-displays for Operator.

  • Printers disabled under Artifact of Command; no duping while items disabled.

  • HUD scaling duplication issue resolved on console.

  • Safer Spaces no longer wasted while invulnerable.

  • Fireworks no longer clip into Best Buddy.

  • Camera dithering applied consistently to items/equipment.

  • Halcyon Shrines correctly gold-only post–False Son loop.

  • Prismatic Trials now start with correct spawn animation.

  • Death during Solus Heart decompile scene no longer possible.

Previously, a big update added a new Survivor, a new boss, and more. Unfortunately, since this update, many players were experiencing a number of issues when trying to play the game. Today’s Risk of Rain 2 version 1.20 will fix all these issues.
