How to remove WannaCry Ransomware from Windows

According to the new reports, the number of computers affected by ‘Wannacry’ has increased from 57,000 to just over 200,000 worldwide. The number of infections is expected to grow even larger with the start of the new week, as many businesses that were unaffected at the start of the attack on Friday return to work at their possibly unpatched systems.

In the meantime, Microsoft has released a patch for Windows XP, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2003 to fix this issue. It’s highly recommended that those unaffected by the attack should obtain the official Microsoft patch.

Also, we strongly recommend users update their antivirus and anti-malware software to the latest definitions, and obtain the relevant fixes from Microsoft as quickly as possible, in order to prevent an infection on their own machine.

Windows 7 and Windows 2008 users should check their updates and download Security Updates as soon as possible. Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows 8 users can download Microsoft’s official the WannaCry Ransomware fix from the link below.
