RE4 Remake version 1.06 patch notes released for PS4, PS5, PC and Xbox. According to the official RE4 Remake 1.06 patch notes, the update adds free DLC “The Mercenaries” and gameplay changes. Apart from this, RE4 patch 1.06 (1.006) also includes various bug fixes and performance improvements.
Recently, the game was released with positive reviews from critics and players. Unfortunately, since the RE4 day one patch, players have experienced several issues with online gameplay. RE4 Remake version 1.06 (1.006.000) will fix a few of these issues.

Added new Separate Ways DLC
Mission Overview
- Secrecy Requirement: The mission is designed to be covert; failure is unacceptable.
New Playable Character: Ada Wong
- Additional Scenario: Play as Ada Wong to experience Resident Evil 4 from her viewpoint.
- Unanswered Questions: This scenario aims to fill gaps in the main story.
Story Elements: Ada Wong’s Mission
- Pre-Leon Arrival: Ada Wong was already in the cursed village before Leon S. Kennedy arrived.
- Primary Objective: Her mission involves retrieving the cult’s most guarded secret—The Amber.
Challenges and Conflicts
- Internal Threat: Ada faces an unidentified threat that’s consuming her from within.
- Dubious Accomplice: She must navigate an alliance with a person who has a dark past and hidden agendas.
- Unexpected Reunion: Ada encounters Leon S. Kennedy, a meeting she didn’t anticipate.
Unveiling Motives and Choices
- Mission Acceptance: The scenario explores why Ada took on this dangerous mission.
- Path Forward: It also delves into the choices she will make, especially in relation to Leon’s investigation into the president’s daughter’s abduction.

Free RE4 Remake “The Mercenaries” DLC
- Game mode “MERCENARIES” has been added. It is a mode aiming for a high score by defeating as many enemies as possible within the time limit.
RE4 Remake free “Mercenaries” DLC introduces a new character to the game, Luis. In the 2005 version, Luis was only present as a non-playable character.
The Mercenaries mode take place across four different stages: The Village, The Castle, The Island, and The Docks.
Players have the opportunity to select from a range of playable characters, including Leon, Luis, Ada, Wesker, Hunk, and Krauser.
Bug Fixes
[PS5]
- Fixed an issue where “light flickering” occurred at the bottom of the screen under some settings.
- Regarding the drawing method of the game screen, we have adjusted the drawing expression so that the drawing in the details of the screen can be felt more detailed.
[XSX|S]
- Adjustments have been made to narrow the range of the dead zone (range where the stick does not react even if the stick is tilted) when inputting the controller stick. This adjustment has improved the response sensitivity during stick input.
- Adjusted the drawing method of the game screen to improve the operating frame rate.

- Other minor bugs have been fixed.
