A new Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart update version 1.002.000 is now available to download on PS5. According to the official Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart patch notes, the latest update added gameplay fixes and quality of life changes. Apart from this, the Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart patch 1.002 also includes stability fixes.
Recently, the game was released with positive reviews. Unfortunately, since the release, players are facing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart update 1.002 will address a few of these issues.

- Added the ability to disable the Phantom Dash VFX
- Added the ability to disable the Phantom Dash VFX in Photo Mode
- Added the ability to toggle armor on or off while in Photo Mode
- Added color backgrounds to Photo Mode
- Added 120 Hz Display Mode, which reduces input latency when using a compatible display. In this mode, the frame rate target for the Fidelity graphics mode increases to 40 frames per second

- Disabled automatic 120 Hz display output in
Performance modes
Prior to this update, if “Enable 120 Hz Output” was set in the system settings, using the Performance RT or Performance mode would auto-detect a 120 Hz-capable display and use a 120 Hz output mode. While this did not change the game’s frame rate, it did reduce input latency by ~8 ms. However, entering this mode introduced visual compatibility issues with some displays that we didn’t feel comfortable imposing automatically on players. The game devs will re-introduce this input latency reduction feature in a future update.
