Ubisoft has released a new Rainbow Six Siege (R6 Siege) update 2.70 on PS4, PC, PS5(version 1.000.074), and Xbox. According to the official R6 2.70 patch notes, the latest update brings fixes, and improvements for the game, addressing various gameplay issues, level design flaws, operator bugs, user experience enhancements, audio fixes, and more. Additionally, today’s R6 version 2.70 also includes gameplay stability fixes.
Previously, a major Rainbow 6 Siege update 2.60 adds operator balancing tweaks including Frost’s Welcome Mat changes, Warden’s armor upgrade, and Tachanka’s damage boost. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing issues with the game. Today’s Rainbow 6 Siege patch 2.70 will fix a few of these issues. The upcoming Rainbow Six Siege (R6 Siege) update 2.71 will fixes the remaining issues.

Siege update 2.70 Patch Notes (Y9S1) – March 12, 2024
Gameplay
- Addressed a bug where aiming down sights while holding a shield and handgun was too fast.
- Fixed an issue where damage for the Bailiff 410 decreased when a laser sight was equipped.
- Fixed an issue with the missing ACOG attachment for the AK-74M.
- Fixed an issue where ACOG B and ACOG C attachments were offset on the UZK50GI.
- Addressed a bug where Brava’s Kludge Drone was missing the loading bar when converting devices.
- Fixed an issue where players were stuck in loading after the pick phase.
- Addressed a bug where the operator with a shield wasn’t protected when the operator and opponent melee attacked each other at the same time.
- Fixed an issue where AI Bots attempted defuse too late if the defuser was planted on the whiteboard in 2F Meeting Room on the Consulate map.
- Fixed an issue where AI bots continued shooting after the end of the round.
- Addressed a bug where players couldn’t progress if the drone was destroyed by Mute’s Signal Disruptor in the Attack Tutorial.
- Fixed an issue where Friendly Fire penalties were given out during Free For All matches.
- Addressed a bug where AI bots did not relocate after being scanned if in camping positions.
- Fixed an issue where high ping players spun in place when observed by other players.
- Addressed a bug where points were awarded when destroying a surface a device was being placed on during deploy animation.
- Fixed an issue where players were soft locked if the camera wasn’t destroyed before rappelling in the Attack Tutorial.
- Addressed a bug where muzzle VFX were missing on semi-automatic weapons.
- Fixed an issue where players could double vault with a deployable shield and Azami’s Kiba Barrier.
Level Design
- Addressed a bug where the bed was not recognized as part of 1F Bunks on the Lair map.
- Fixed an issue where legs clipped through walls while laying prone under the desk at 2F Sewing Room of Herford Base map.
- Addressed a bug where C4 couldn’t be retrieved when thrown onto railings and not standing on stairs on various maps.
- Fixed an issue where AI bots fell through the trap door when trying to counter-defuse at 2F Gym on the Clubhouse map.
- Fixed an issue where there was an unintended line of sight between gun cases at B Arsenal on the Clubhouse map.
- Fixed an issue where there was an unintended line of sight through openings in the bike lift in 1F Garage on the Clubhouse map.
- Addressed various unintended line of sight issues and navigation exploits on various maps.
Operators
- Fixed an issue where players could self-revive instantly if Doc had previously shot them while they were wearing Rook’s Armor Pack.
- Addressed various issues with operator gadgets, animations, and behavior.
User Experience
- Addressed various user interface issues, including chat background opacity, item sorting, and navigation indicators.
- Fixed an issue where language specific characters were not shown when sorting by name on multiple localizations.
Audio
- Addressed various audio issues, including incorrect voice lines and missing sound effects.
