Rainbow Six Siege update 1.000.106 (Y10S2) is available to download on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official Rainbow 6 Siege update 1.000.106 patch notes, Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 10 Season 2 “Operation Daybreak” introduces major changes including a reworked Clash operator with deployable shield abilities, free-to-play access for new players, and a new 6v6 Dual Front game mode. Additionally, today’s R6 update 1.000.106 also includes features modernized maps with destructible elements, overhauled audio and UI systems, advanced movement mechanics, and comprehensive player progression reforms.

Clash Rework

New Ability: CCE Shield MK2

  • Can now anchor shield to the ground and roam freely
  • Remote taser ability to slow enemies from a distance
  • Shield expands/collapses based on situation
  • Added free look ability like other operators

  • Secondary: P-10C, SPSMG9, Super Shorty

Siege X Goes Free-to-Play

  • Free access to base game for new players on all platforms

Sledge:

  • One hammer swing destroys shields and knocks down shield operators

Jackal:

  • Hunter mark scans increased to 5 (from 3)
  • Pings reduced to 1 regardless of footprint age
  • Scanned footprints removed immediately
  • Old footprints last 90 seconds (from 120)

Blackbeard:

  • Shield glass now tinted for better visibility
  • Enhanced sound effects for shield movement

Electricity Changes:

  • Now affects all devices regardless of team
  • No longer damages operators, only slows them

General Gameplay
  • Text Chat Access Restored: Console players outside the US can now access in-game text chat.

  • Join-In-Progress Issue Resolved: AirTEP and helicopter no longer disappear after a hostage extraction in JIP sessions.

  • Crash Fixes:

    • Game no longer crashes when deploying drones immediately after respawn in support mode.

    • Anti Aliasing set to 4x no longer causes game crashes.

  • Gadget Fixes:

    • Ace’s S.E.L.M.A. can no longer breach electrified walls.

    • Thatcher’s EMP grenades now affect attackers from the opposing team as intended.

    • IQ’s electronic detector now displays Alibi Prisma’s metallic bar correctly from all angles.

  • Hostage and Defuser Bugs:

    • Hostage extraction animation no longer appears unexpectedly during gameplay.

    • Defuser planted on Kiba Barrier is now destroyed properly when the barrier is removed.

Previously, a major Rainbow 6 Siege update 2.60 adds operator balancing tweaks including Frost’s Welcome Mat changes, Warden’s armor upgrade, and Tachanka’s damage boost. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing issues with the game. Today’s Rainbow Six Siege patch 1.000.106 will fix a few of these issues.
