R6 Update 2.80 Patch Notes (PS5 Version 1.000.084)

Ubisoft has released a new R6 Siege update 2.80 on PS4, PC, PS5(version 1.000.084), and Xbox. According to the official R6 2.80 patch notes, the latest update fixes gameplay, level design, operator, and user experience bugs, with download sizes provided for each platform. Additionally, today’s R6 version 2.80 also fixes Deadzone sensitivity calibration and the ability to melee through shields.

Bug Fixes

Gameplay

  • Fixed Deadzone sensitivity calibration.
  • Fixed issue where operators could melee through shields.

Level Design

  • Fixed drones clipping inside the wall in EXT Valley on the Border map.

Operators

  • Fixed low detail on Ying’s Candela ability when held close.

User Experience

  • Fixed missing red scan ping for drones during preparation phase.
  • Fixed duplicated text for the dynamic play button in the upper-left corner.
  • Fixed reticules for OTs-03 not affected by optic color and opacity changes.
  • Fixed ability for players to accept invites to ongoing custom online sessions.
  • Fixed “Unlock with operator Specialties” option appearing after unlocking a pathfinder Operator with renown.
  • Fixed inability to toggle hiding completed challenges under the Challenges tab.
  • Fixed inability to scroll through the Battle Pass after accessing the Challenges tab.

Audio

  • Fixed missing SFX when drones are destroyed in support mode at the end of the round.

Known Issue [PC]

  • Due to a security update, some third-party applications interacting with Siege may cause crashes on start-up. Temporarily disable such applications until updated versions are released.

Previously, a major Rainbow 6 Siege update 2.60 adds operator balancing tweaks including Frost’s Welcome Mat changes, Warden’s armor upgrade, and Tachanka’s damage boost. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing issues with the game. Today’s Rainbow 6 Siege patch 2.80 will fix a few of these issues.
