R6 update 2.59 is rolling out on PS4, PC, PS5(Version 1.000.063), and Xbox One. According to the official R6 Siege 2.59 patch notes, the latest update addresses numerous gameplay, level design, audio, and user experience issues. Additionally, today’s R6 version 2.59 also fixes operators escorting hostages, device detection, advantageous positions, and audio-visual synchronization.
Previously, a major R6 Siege update 2.45added a new operator, a new gadget, a new ranked map, and much more. Recently, hotfix 2.45 was also released with minor tweaks. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing issues with the game. Today’s R6 Siege update 2.59 will fix a few of these issues. A future Rainbow Six Siege (R6) update 2.60 brings add major changes to the game.

Gameplay Fixes
- Operators Escorting Hostage: Fixed an issue where operators couldn’t escort the hostage using controller input while holding a deployable device.
- Ceiling Devices Detection: Fixed the problem where devices placed on the ceiling were being detected outside in 2F Red Stairs on the Kanal map.
- Oryx’s Remah Dash VFX: Corrected the incorrect VFX triggered when using Oryx’s Remah Dash against an opponent near an indestructible wall.
- Azami’s Kiba Barrier: Addressed an issue where players gained an advantageous line of sight when using Azami’s Kiba Barrier.
- Azami’s Kiba Barrier Positions: Fixed various advantageous position problems when using Azami’s Kiba Barrier.
Level Design Fixes
- Missing Red Barrier: Resolved the issue where the red barrier was missing during the Preparation Phase after destroying the barrel wall in B Tasting Room on the Villa map.
- Out of Bounds at Bank: Fixed the problem where operators could go out of bounds at the west wall of EXT Tunnel on the Bank map.
- Defenders Detection: Corrected the issue where defenders were detected outside when standing next to a wall in 1F Trophy Room on the Chalet map.
- Floating Barricades: Fixed the bug where barricades would float when placed at 2F Master Bedroom on the Oregon map.
- Operator Stuck: Addressed the issue where operators became stuck when going on top of the white chair next to the fruit stand in EXT Market on the Favela map.
- Stuck in Barrel: Fixed the problem where operators could get stuck in a barrel on the Clubhouse map.
- Ace’s S.E.L.M.A. Aqua Breacher: Resolved the issue where Ace’s S.E.L.M.A. Aqua Breacher didn’t detonate a second time when thrown on the destructible wall of the Consulate map.
Audio Fixes
- Timer and VFX Matching: Fixed the problem where VFX didn’t match with the timer when joining a match in progress.
User Experience Fixes
- Idle Animations: Fixed operators’ improper idle animations in the Operator album.
- Commendation System: Addressed the occasional greying out of the commendation system.
- Teammate Outlines: Corrected the inconsistent display of teammate outlines.
- Devices Detected Outside: Fixed the issue where devices were detected as outside when deployed inside 2F Piano Room on the Chalet map.
- Maps Tab in Offline Mode: Resolved the problem where the Maps tab for the Standard playlist was empty when playing in offline mode.
- Crosshair Disappearance: Fixed the bug where the crosshair disappeared multiple times when aiming down sights after respawning.
- Operator Portraits and Card Backgrounds: Corrected the issue where operator portraits and card backgrounds rewards weren’t displayed after opening a pack.
- Custom Match Lobby Options: Addressed the problem where match options were only available to the host in the Custom Match lobby.
- Defuser Location Placeholder: Fixed the placeholder text for the defuser location when planted at 4F Cockpit on the Yacht map.
- Language Packs: Resolved the issue where language packs were missing for the Ukraine region.
- LOD Issues: Fixed multiple LOD (Level of Detail) issues on various maps.
- Shop and Customization Issues: Addressed various shop and customization-related problems.
- Localization Issues: Fixed various localization issues to improve the overall user experience.
