R-Type Final 2 update 1.08 (August 13, 2021) is now available to download on PS4. According to the official R-Type Final 2 patch notes, the latest update added a mew easy mode, additional ships and decal.
Previously, a big update added various quality of life improvements. Unfortunately, since the release, players are facing several issues. R-Type Final 2 patch 1.08 will fix a few of these issues.

R-Type Final 2 Patch Notes (August 13, 2021)
- A “slow down function”/easy mode has been added to the Practice difficulty- you can access this by holding R1 or N on the keyboard
- Additional ships and decal
- Additional graphics options added
- Addressed controller issues
- Fixed several text bugs
- Other minor bugs addressed
