PUBG Season 36 Patch Notes – Summary Highlights

  • New Ranked Tiers: Crystal and Survivor added with revised tier structure and progression criteria.

  • Gameplay Additions: Red Zone, BRDM-2 via Flare Gun, new tactical gear, and throwable cooking timer now in Ranked.

  • Weapon Updates: AUG nerfed; VSS buffed significantly; DMR rebalance test available in Gunplay Labs.

  • Vehicle Combat Overhaul: Throwable use expanded from driver’s seat, reverse speed reduced for multiple vehicles.

  • Workshop Improvements: New crafting features, item sets, and Special Crafting deadlines announced.


Season 36 – Ranked Mode Updates

New Ranked Weapon Skins

  • AWM skins added as permanent Tier Rewards.

  • Final Tier results from last season available on Career page.

Leaderboard & Match Reset

  • Leaderboard reset after live maintenance.

  • RP reset to 1500 across all players (Duo/Squad & FPP/TPP unified).


Gameplay Updates

New Features in Ranked Matches

  • Match Log, Throwable Cooking Timer UI.

  • Recall System, Red Zone, BRDM-2 via Flare Gun.

  • New tactical gear: Tactical Pack, EMT Gear, All-In-One Repair Kit, Inflatable Boat, C4, Zipline Gun.

  • These also apply to Custom Match – Esports Mode.

Tier Revamp

  • New Tiers: Crystal and Survivor.

  • Divisions Reduced: From 5 to 4 per tier.

  • Survivor Tier Requirements:

    • Live RP & Leaderboard RP ≥ 3700.

    • Top players per region (see regional caps).

    • No Tier Protection in Survivor.

    • Auto demotion if RP drops below 3700.

Tier Rewards & Visibility

  • Ranked Parachute skin for Gold Tier and higher.

  • Lobby now shows both current and previous season’s highest Tier.

Ranked Play Point Rewards

  • Now claimed manually via Rewards page.

  • Bonus rewards every 200 points after 1600 still auto-granted.

  • Unclaimed rewards expire end of season.

Matchmaking Changes

  • Duo Mode Added: All regions.

    • PC: FPP Duo (EU, RU), TPP Duo (EU).

    • Console: Duo mode (EU, NA).

  • Solo Mode Removed: AS region.


Ranked Points System Changes

RP System

  • RP gain/loss range adjusted to -44 ~ +44.

  • RP penalties now directly apply for team kills/suicides.


Gunplay Updates

⚖ AUG Balance

  • Damage: 41 → 40.

  • Aim punch reduced by 50%.

VSS Balance

  • Damage: 43 → 45.

  • Muzzle velocity: 330 → 430 m/s.

  • Zeroing: Intervals changed to 100m, max distance 300m.

  • Damage falloff now starts at 50m.

Muzzle Brake Buff

  • Vertical recoil control: +8% → +10%.


Weapon Spawn Adjustments

Now World Spawn on All Maps

  • VSS, Mini14, Sawed-Off, SCAR-L, S12K, Vector.

Map-Specific Spawns

  • Win94 – Karakin.

  • G36C – Vikendi.

  • QBU – Sanhok.

  • DP-28 – Paramo.

  • PP-19 Bizon – Erangel.

  • Mosin Nagant – Deston.


Gunplay Labs: DMR Rebalance

Testing Period

  • PC: June 18 – July 2.

  • Console: June 26 – July 10.

DMR Adjustments (Arcade Only)

  • Damage reduced by ~12%.

  • RPM reduced by ~45% (Dragunov & Mk14 excluded).


Vehicle Combat Updates

Driver-Seat Throwables

  • All vehicles support throwing (fixed direction).

  • Movement affects throw distance.

  • Throwable Cooking Timer UI not available.

Handgun Use in Watercraft

  • Handguns usable from driver’s seat (except while Inflatable Boat is moving).

Melee Throws Expansion

  • Driver and non-driver melee throws now supported in most small vehicles.

Console Key Binding Updates

  • Updated bindings for driver actions in Preset Types A–C.

  • New default mappings for vehicle throwables and melee weapons.

Reverse Speed Reduction

  • Applies to UAZ, Pickup, Zima, Rony, Mirado, Quad, and more.


World & Arcade

Vikendi

  • Vending Machines and Destructible Pots added (Normal & Ranked).

Arcade Updates

  • Rin Jiang removed from Team Deathmatch.

  • Supply drop item loadouts adjusted in Intense Battle Royale.


Workshop & Crafting

New Content

  • Doggy Day Care set added.

  • Special Crafting (Black Market 2025) ends:

    • PC: July 14.

    • Console: July 22.

Crafting UI Improvements

  • Disassemble up to 50 items at once.

  • “Select in Order” added for easier selection.

  • Warnings for special/elite item disassembly updated.


Crafter Pass & Events

Free Reward Buffs

  • Improved reward structure detailed in Dev Letter: Premium Content.

Currency Selection

  • Choose between G-Coin and BP for select Store items.

Weekly Supply Missions

  • Earn up to 23,000 BP weekly through Event Center.

Arcade Points Reward Increase

  • Rewards for 300, 600, and 1,500 Arcade Points upgraded (more Contraband Coupons).


Hideout Updates

  • Contraband Coupon purchases now grant 10 Scrap.

  • Workshop and Hideout now aligned in item handling.


Customize Improvements

  • New sorting/filtering options added to Customize, Workshop, and Hideout pages.

  • Event-tier items now exchangeable for 1 BP.


Custom Match & Console Matchmaking

Assist UI

  • Now available in Custom Match: Normal, Esports, and Intense Battle Royale.

Console Same Language Team

  • Enabled in Duo/Squad for Normal Matches.

  • Based on party leader’s language.

Settings

The “Hide Nicknames in Killfeed” option under Settings – Gameplay – Interface has been renamed to “Hide Player Nicknames.”

  • When this option is enabled:

    • The nickname of the eliminated player will no longer be shown when looting their deathbox.

    • Nicknames of players from other teams will not be shown when spectating after your entire team is eliminated.

      • Nicknames displayed on the World Map and above characters’ heads will also be hidden.

  • Due to the option name change, the setting has been reset to disabled.


UX/UI

  • Item names related to the Bonus Contents of the Survivor’s Chest have been standardized.


Performance

  • Improved stability around the Erangel ferry and Vikendi train and Cable Car areas to ensure smoother gameplay.


Bug Fixes

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where the wheels of certain vehicles are difficult to destroy with punches.

  • Fixed certain casting animations that look unnatural.

  • Fixed an issue where players do not take damage while inside the Blue Zone.

  • Fixed an issue where character movement appears unnatural when throwing a melee weapon while prone.

  • Fixed an issue where reviving a teammate does not complete after the timer expires, causing the character attempting the revive to become stuck.

World

  • Fixed an issue where attempting to crouch in specific destroyed areas on the Sanhok map causes players to fall through the ground.

  • Fixed an issue where the Emergency Cover airdrop does not drop when using the Emergency Cover Flare on Paramo and Karakin.

Items & Skins

※ Clipping issue: Graphics that are shown outside the visible part of an image/object.

  • Fixed the clipping issue when equipping Male Face 9 with certain masks.

  • Fixed an issue where the appearance compatibility message incorrectly appears when previewing weapons, gear, or emotes while the Contender Hanna is activated.

  • Fixed an issue where part of the PGC 2024 Heavy Top obstructs the view when entering the back seat of the Zima in FPP.

Previously, a major PUBG update 2.18 added a brand new vehicle – the Food Truck, Changing Weather, various map improvements on Deston, and more. Unfortunately, since the last major update, players are experiencing issues with the game. Today’s PUBG patch 2.94 will fix a few of these issues.
