PUBG Update 2.86 Patch Notes for PS4 & Xbox One (34.1)

PUBG update 2.86 is available to download on PS4, PC and Xbox One. According to the official PUBG 2.86 patch notes, the latest update 34.1 brings a wide range of adjustments to vehicles, weapons, and maps. Additionally, PUBG console version 2.86 also includes new modes and quality-of-life improvements.

Gameplay Changes

Vehicles

• Speed and Acceleration Adjustments:
  • Increased max speed and boost speed:
    • 5% boost increase:UAZ, Pickup, Food Truck, Porter, Blanc.
    • 10% boost increase:Dacia, Motorbike, Buggy, Quad, Van, Snowmobile, Boat, Dirt Bike.
  • Reduced max speed:Pillar Security Car (10% decrease).
  • Increased initial acceleration:UAZ, Dacia, Motorbike, Buggy, Quad, Pickup, Van, Food Truck, Snowmobile, Porter, Blanc, Boat, Dirt Bike.
  • Reduced initial acceleration:Pillar Security Car.
• Trunk System:
  • Added to:Dacia, Mirado, Pony Coupe, Coupe RB.
  • Capacity adjustments:Pillar Security Car trunk capacity reduced from 400 to 150.
• Miscellaneous Vehicle Changes:
  • Dacia:Improved friction on snow and ice.
  • Porter and Pillar Security Car:Increased weight.
  • Buggy and Quad:Increased tire HP.

Dev Comment:These changes aim to rebalance older vehicles to match the faster pace of modern gameplay, offering more diverse options and narrowing performance gaps between vehicles.

Gunplay Adjustments

Mk12:

• Increased recoil:Vertical and horizontal recoil increased by 10%.
• Reduced damage over distance:Maximum two-tap kill range reduced from 118m to 83m.

7.62mm Ammo:

• Reduced weight:From 0.7 to 0.6.

Shotguns:

• S1897:
  • Reduced buckshot spread by 10%.
  • Faster pump action: 0.61s → 0.55s.
• S12K:
  • Increased buckshot spread by 5%.
  • Reduced damage: 24 → 23.
• S686:
  • Reduced buckshot spread by 12%.
• DBS:
  • Increased damage over distance by 20%.
  • Reduced vertical and horizontal recoil by 10%.
• Spawn Rates:Adjusted to reduce variation in shotgun availability across maps.

Dev Comment:These changes aim to balance weapon performance, with adjustments to the Mk12, 7.62mm ammo, and shotguns to refine their roles and effectiveness.

World Updates

Sanhok:

• Destructible terrain:Quarry, Ruins, and Tambang.
• Terrain height adjustments:Quarry and Ruins.

Erangel:

• Gas Station Revamp:Updated design, added Fuel Pump feature, and repositioned objects.

Taego:

• Gas Station Changes:New stations added, some turned into ruins, and Fuel Pump feature introduced.

Arcade Mode: 1v1 Arena

• New Mode:Round-based 1v1 combat.
• Features:
  • Gear selection before matches.
  • Win streaks displayed.
  • Ready Up feature for quicker match starts.

Ranked Season 34

• New Rewards:MG3 Ranked weapon skins.
• Leaderboard Reset:After maintenance.

• Top 500 Rewards:Exclusive emblems and nameplates for Master-tier and above players.

Hideout Changes (Update 34.2 – March 12)

• Progressive Weapon Skins Salvaging:Materials obtained now scale with skin level (e.g., Level 1: 800 Polymer, 3 Schematics; Level 10: 23,300 Polymer, 26 Schematics).

Settings and UX/UI Improvements

• Visual Effects:Simplified for stable performance (excluding Ultra settings).
• New UI Features:
  • Time-limited item expiration notifications.
  • Updated tooltip layouts.
• Console Loading Screens:Changed to text-based UIs.

Bug Fixes

• Gameplay:
  • Fixed issues with hit marks, Co-op Climb teleportation, and observer waypoints.

Previously, a major PUBG update 2.18 added a brand new vehicle – the Food Truck, Changing Weather, various map improvements on Deston, and more. Unfortunately, since the last major update, players are experiencing issues with the game. Today’s PUBG patch 2.87 will fix a few of these issues.
