PUBG Update 1.001 (v38.2) Patch Notes for PS5 & Xbox Series X/S

PUBG update 1.001 (v38.2) is available to download on PS5, PC and Xbox One. According to the official PUBG 1.001 patch notes, the latest update 38.2 delivers Porsche containers, major Rondo revisions, a rebuilt Test Track, and fresh Secret Rooms. The console shift completes with shorter waits and exclusive rewards. Additionally, PUBG console version 1.001.000 also expands crafting, Esports features, and UI refinements.

Porsche Collaboration Patch Notes

Porsche Container

An exclusive Porsche container now appears on Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi, Taego, Deston, and Rondo.
Only players owning Porsche skins may unlock it.
When several skins are equipped, one displays at random.
Only the unlocker and squad may drive or ride the spawned Porsche vehicle.
Container and vehicle vanish once players board the plane.
Available in Normal, Ranked, and Casual for one month.

Misc – Porsche

Customize → Vehicle → Special Skins → Edit Skin updated.
Locked-but-unacquired items remain visible after sales periods.
Further PUBG x Porsche announcements will detail skin acquisition and Porsche Crafting.

World – Rondo Update

Global Removals

Market, Pillar Guards, BR Coins, and Safes removed.
Market garages replaced by standard garages or buildings.
Fish, bird interactions, and cage destruction removed.

Area Modifications

Rough terrain smoothed in multiple regions.
Shallow puddles cleared.

Lo Hua Xing

Overall elevation lowered.
Several structures and walls adjusted.
Added new loot spots, garages, cliffs, and vehicle routes.
A lake-center island added.
Certain buildings added or removed.

Rin Jiang

Floating restaurant floor lowered for direct water climb.
Expanded first-floor exterior with adjusted cover.
Loot volume slightly increased.
Indoor layouts simplified.
South bridge added.
New window openings.

Test Track

Track Layout

Entry road and core layout redesigned.
New structures including traffic lights added.
Clear start/finish markings applied.

Lap-Time System

Lap timing begins after staying at start for five seconds.
Timer shows on screen’s left side.
Timing stops when:
- Player exits/seatswitches.
- Vehicle leaves track or drives wrong way.
- Vehicle remains still too long.
- Player gets knocked or killed.
Billboards replaced by scoreboards showing lap rankings.
Records persist until match ends.

Secret Rooms

Secret Rooms containing rare loot appear across Rondo.
Secret Room Key unlocks access.
Opening one door opens all four.

Spawn Adjustments

Vending Machines, Destructible Pots, and Gas Tanks added.
Fixed Inflatable Boat spawns introduced with unchanged total count.
New fixed vehicle spawns slightly increase overall count.

Additional Fixes

Improved lighting and building textures.
Starting island gains a driving track with lap-timing.

World – General

Maps updated with PGC 2025 décor.
Vikendi now includes Destructible Gas Tanks.

Gameplay – Console

Starting island wait reduced from 90s to 60s.
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S now the only supported consoles.

Special Crafting

New Porsche collaboration skins craftable under Special Crafting.

Fixed an issue where rapidly pressing the crouch and prone keys in succession would skip the prone animation.
Fixed an issue where the vehicle’s driving behavior was abnormal when using “The Good Ol’ Days (Black)” Sedan or “The Good Ol’ Days (White)” Sedan skin.
Fixed an issue where Red Zone missiles could fall outside the Red Zone.
Fixed an issue where, in Observer Mode, the outlines of a character’s equipped weapons and the vehicle they were in were not displayed when the X-ray effect was enabled.
Fixed an issue where the Free Look animation appeared unnatural under specific conditions.

Adjusted the position of the Dive Trail Effect video on the Contender Room – Upgrade page.

Fixed an issue where the return timer in the teammate list UI was displayed abnormally under specific conditions.
(PC) Fixed an issue where launching the game with the display mode set to Borderless would apply the maximum resolution instead of the selected resolution.

Fixed an issue where the Chroma effect was not applied to certain parts of the Chrono Cannon – SKS with Uncommon Skin Cosmetics when Chroma was equipped.
Fixed a clipping issue when the female character equipped NieR Replicant ver.1.22 – Nier’s Hairstyle with certain hats.
Fixed an issue where the ankles became transparent when wearing the Calico Onesie with Rebel at Heart Boots.
Fixed a clipping issue around the hips when the female character wore the Desert Nights Pencil Skirt.

Previously, a major PUBG update 2.18 added a brand new vehicle – the Food Truck, Changing Weather, various map improvements on Deston, and more. Unfortunately, since the last major update, players are experiencing issues with the game. Today’s PUBG patch 1.001 will fix a few of these issues.
