Kinetic Games has released a new Phasmophobia update 1.000.041 on PS5, Xbox, and PC. According to the official Phasmophobia version 0.17.1.5 patch notes, the latest update fixes a Spirit Box controller softlock and restores Voice Recognition functionality for affected Steam players. Apart from this, Phasmophobia update 1.000.041 also provides microphone configuration guidance for PC users experiencing Voice Recognition issues.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that could leave players softlocked when using the Spirit Box with a controller.
- Resolved an issue affecting Steam users where Voice Recognition would not work correctly.
- PC players using the “Voice” setting should verify that the default microphone selected in Windows matches the microphone assigned in system settings.
Previously, a major update 1.000.021 added Voice Recognition on consoles, allowing players to interact with ghosts using their voice. Unfortunately, players still facing a number of problems with the game. Today’s Phasmophobia version 1.000.041 will fix a few of these issues.
