A new Phasmophobia update 1.000.005 is now rolling out on PC(Steam). According to the official Phasmophobia 1.000.005 patch notes, the latest update brings Winter’s Jest event with Community Goals and new daily/weekly tasks for rewards. Apart from this, Phasmophobia patch 1.000.005 also increases point rewards for objectives, totems, and difficulty-based multipliers.

Winter’s Jest Event Features
Community Goals
- Collaborate with other Ghost Hunters to complete three new Community Goals for exclusive rewards.
- Track progress on the in-game Event Board.
Event Points Changes
- Totem Points: Increased from 1 to 2.
- Objective Points: Increased from 2 to 3.
- Difficulty Bonus: 1 point per reward multiplier based on difficulty.
- Example: Correct ghost identification on Nightmare rewards 10 points + 4 difficulty points.
Daily and Weekly Tasks
- Earn event points through new tasks.
- Rewards include significant sums of money and XP.
Lowered Community Goal Thresholds
- Reduced overall score requirements for goal completion based on feedback from previous events.
Gameplay Changes and Improvements
New Content
- Achievement Hunter Challenge: Added to the Event Board for players to tackle.
Gameplay Enhancements
- Main Menu Navigation: Menus now loop seamlessly between the Contract Board, Main Board, and Shop.

- Map Stats: Fixed the most played map stat to correctly track new maps.
- Push to Talk: Global push-to-talk can now be rebound.
- Seasonal Clock: Addressed incorrect countdown dates for some players.
- Crashes: Fixed various crashes for improved stability.
- Visual Fixes: Resolved Blood Moon reflections in the Edgefield death room.
PS5-Specific
- Foveated Rendering: Resolved screen wobbling issue.
Known Issues
- Leaderboard Navigation: Navigating left of the main menu may lead to getting stuck on the future leaderboard screen.
- Loading Visual Glitch: White squares may briefly appear on the screen sides when loading into a map.

Previously, a major update 0.9added quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Recently, a hotfix added a new truck, ghost types, voice recognition overhaul, and more. Unfortunetly, players are facing a number of problems with the game. Today’s Phasmophobia update 1.000.005 will fix a few of these issues.
