Phasmophobia Version 1.000.014 Patch Notes for PS5, PC and Xbox

A new Phasmophobia version 1.000.014 is now rolling out on PC(Steam). According to the official Phasmophobia 1.000.014 patch notes, the latest update brings various changes and several QOL improvements, including a performance boost across all maps. Apart from this, Phasmophobia patch 1.000.014 also includes stability stability fixes.

Changes

  • You can no longer “place” equipment on Jackalope nest eggs, which is now consistent with the nest itself.

  • Obake ghost model can now shape shift during seasonal events where the model is replaced with an event ghost model.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused no audio to play when opening the Cursed Hollow leaflet in the warehouse.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the player’s vote tape to not return to its original point after deselecting a map.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the lobby volume not adjusting when using the slider in Audio settings.

  • Fixed an issue that caused different daily and weekly challenges to appear from player to player as well as rotational maps.

  • Fixed an issue that caused inconsistencies with DOTS T2 when the ghost and Forest Minions were too close to the player.

  • Fixed an issue that removed textures from Point Hope’s terrain.

  • Fixed an issue introduced with the gamepad deadzone change that caused changes to player’s sensitivity settings.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the ghost from killing a player when playing in VR.

  • Fixed an issue that gave the incorrect name to the Cursed Hollow event badge.


The following changes were added previously.

New

  • Bleasdale Farmhouse: Bleasdale Farmhouse has been fully overhauled with a new layout, new visual assets, new environmental features and much more. Several examples of these are:

    • Motion Sensing exterior lights that can be triggered by both players and ghosts.

    • A bead string door that will move when walked through by either the player or the ghost.

    • Something small and frightening, scuttling about the house…

    • Plenty of new ghost interactables!

  • Ghosts can now light any non-equipment fire sources such as fireplaces, campfires and candles.

  • Some lights can now be turned toggled with multiple switches.

    • Note: currently Bleasdale only, but these will be added to other locations over time

Changes

  • Bleasdale Farmhouse is now classed as a medium map due to it’s rework.

  • Point Hope is now classed as a medium map.

  • Pianos found in maps now have new interaction sounds for players and ghosts.

  • “Get a ghost to blow out a firelight” objective now only counts for player equipment (Firelight T1, T2, T3)

  • Paintings now fall down more realistically.

  • Implemented performance improvements across all maps.

Fixes

All Platforms:

  • Fixed an issue causing white blocks to appear on screen when loading into a contract in multiplayer.

  • Fixed several Spanish questions when using voice recognition with the Oujia Board

  • Fixed several location issues that would cause the player to get stuck.

Xbox/PlayStation:

  • Fixed an issue that would cause Xbox players to get stuck on the initialisation screen if no account profile picture had been set.

Changes

  • Increased the resolution of all textures for those of you playing on PlayStation VR2, which aims to create a smoother experience for all VR2 players.

  • Fixed an issue that would prevent players joining multiplayer games when encountering the ‘Bad Username’ error message.

Xbox Series/PlayStation:

  • Fixed an issue that would cause Phasmophobia to crash when playing on Point Hope.

All Platforms:

  • Optimised memory usage on Point Hope

  • Addressed a bug causing games to crash when playing on Point Hope. In the meantime, playing Phasmophobia in Performance Mode can avoid this issue.
  • Added stability fixes.
  • Added gameplay performance improvements.

Previously, a major update 0.9 added quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Recently, a hotfix added a new truck, ghost types, voice recognition overhaul, and more. Unfortunetly, players are facing a number of problems with the game. Today’s Phasmophobia update 1.000.014 will fix a few of these issues.
