Phasmophobia Update 0.10.1.0 Patch Notes

A new Phasmophobia update 0.10.1.0 is now rolling out on PC(Steam). According to the official Phasmophobia 10.1 patch notes, the latest update upgraded voice chat and enhanced photo journal functionality. Apart from this, Phasmophobia patch 0.10.1 also adds various fixes across ghost interactions, player movement, and VR gameplay for a smoother and more consistent experience.

Patch Summary

Audio and Voice Chat

• Switched Voice Chat System: Upgraded from Photon Voice to Vivox.

Photo Journal System

• Photo Removal:
  • Removal Limit: Players can now remove two photos from the journal.
  • Star Rating Restriction: 3-star photos cannot be removed.
  • Multiplayer Voting: Players vote to remove photos in multiplayer games.
  • UI Update: Added an indicator for available photo removals.

Environment and Level Adjustments

• Lantern Room Division:
  • New Ghost Rooms: Lantern room split into “Lantern Room Top” and “Lantern Room Bottom”.

  • Broom Interaction: Removed ability to walk up the broom in Point Hope.

  • Top-Level Staircase Trap: Players no longer get stuck descending the stairs.

VR and Achievements

• VR Fixes:
  • Ferryman Badge: Now obtainable by VR players.
  • Teleport Stamina Visuals: Correctly displays.
  • Loading Screen: Fades to black correctly during Training loading.
  • Camera Placement: Consistently place video cameras on tripods in VR.
• Sprint After Death: Possible if sprint setting is “Off”.
• Achievement Fixes:
  • Poltergeist & Revenant Achievements: Now achievable with a mimic.
  • Banshee Ability Stat: Counted only when the Banshee reaches a player.
  • Ghost-Specific Fixes:
    • Shades: Function consistently when players leave the room.
    • Goryo: Correct DOTS evidence when no players are present.
    • Spirit Box: Provides evidence more consistently with “alone” ghosts.
  • Ghost Event Triggering: Events no longer occur without players present.

Miscellaneous Fixes

• Gamepad Shop Interaction: Prevented unintentional buy/sell actions.
• ID Badge Issue: Players can now play without reselecting roles after badge removal.
• Bone Spawn Adjustment: Improved positions in Point Hope.
• Blindness Issue: Tier III crucifix now prevents permanent blindness after ghost wish.
• DOTS State: Banshees entering DOTS state no longer increase the ability used stat.

Previously, a major update 0.9added quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Recently, a hotfix added a new truck, ghost types, voice recognition overhaul, and more. Unfortunetly, players are facing a number of problems with the game. Today’s Phasmophobia update 10.1.0 will fix a few of these issues.
