Pharaoh game update is rolling out on PC (Steam). According to the official Pharaoh patch notes, the latest update addressed various game save corruption issues. Apart from this, the Pharaoh patch also includes performance improvements.
Recently, a major update added quality of life changes and fixes. Unfortunately, players have been experiencing issues with the game since the last patch.
Today’s Pharaoh update will fix a few of these issues.
Pharaoh Patch Notes – February 27, 2023
Various bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue with german localization causing invasion events to trigger improperly.
- Fixed various localization issues in all languages supported (English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish).
- The standard 9% tax rate no longer causes a malus in city sentiment if only part of the population is taxed (more balance updates are coming for city sentiment).
- Serabit Khadim is now properly invaded by Canaanites instead of Pharaoh’s army.
- The proper briefing now plays in Cleopatra’s Alexandria.
- In Campaign mode, Iken is no longer playing like its sandbox version.
- The game no longer stutters when animals are surrounded by buildings.
Saves corruption:
- Fixed various issues corrupting players’ saves.
- Fixed userstats.data file getting larger and larger with each save.
- Prevent userstats.data getting included with every save.
