Pacific Drive Update 1.007.003 Patch Notes – September 30, 2024
Bugs and UX Fixes
- Achievement Warnings:
- Players now receive a warning when selecting a custom preset that disables achievements from the main menu or in-game.
- Scenic Route now explicitly states that achievements will be disabled due to the deactivation of player death.
- Achievements Accessibility:
- It is now more challenging to disable achievements from the main menu and settings menu.
- Achievements can only be disabled if settings are applied through the main menu or settings menu. Changes made via the pause menu will not disable achievements.
- Colossal Cappy Scanning:
- Colossal Cappy is now easier to scan.
- Scanning Colossal Cappy will correctly log its entry in the logbook.
- Map Pool Adjustment:
- Removed a challenging forest map without roads from the early game pool, making early game encounters fairer. This map will only appear later in the game at higher difficulties.
- Text Correction:
- Fixed a typo in the credits for “Worse in Person.”
Gameplay Balance and Scripting
- Accident Forgiveness Plan:
- Players who experienced erroneously disabled achievements after changing difficulties will have achievements re-enabled on viable saves.
- The fix applies retroactively, allowing players to earn achievements on affected saves.
- Story-related achievements must be re-attempted.
Known Issues
- Resource Replenishment:
- The “Resource Replenishment” setting isn’t activating upon return to the garage after death. A fix is currently being tested.
- Custom Radio Music:
- OGG files are less reliable than MP3 files for custom radio music. The temporary solution is to convert songs to MP3 format.
- PS5 Preset Issues:
- Presets are currently not removable, allowing players to create multiple presets without deleting old ones due to console file system limitations. A fix is under investigation.
- Duplicate Cosmetics:
- Cosmetics from Deco-vends may become falsely duplicatable if players don’t add them to the detail station and instead keep them in their inventory.
