Overwatch 2 Update 4.12 is now available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official OW2 Update 1.000.076 patch notes, Season 19: Haunted Masquerade brings new mask-based gameplay, Halloween Terror’s chilling return, and deep hero rebalances. Hero Mastery is removed to refocus development on core modes, while chat customization adds new personalization options. Developer Comments: Brigitte’s Weapon Power builds have struggled to find their footing. We’re increasing the usability on these powers to help make Weapon Power centric builds a more viable option.

Burst Aid – Power

  • Input changed to Reload (from Quick Melee).
  • Max Life Heal per Repair Pack consumed increased to 25% (up from 20%).
  • Attack Speed Buff per Repair Pack consumed increased to 10% (up from 5%).

Righteous Cleave – Power

  • Heal now triggers on next Damaging Rocket Flail Swing (changed from Next Rocket Flail Swing).
Lúcio

Developer Comments: We’re tuning down Lúcio’s most consistent build and buffing some lesser picked options to allow for increased variety in his build paths. We’re also reworking Reverb to a version with more balance levers, so we can better fine tune its power level.

Reverb – Power

  • Reworked to “After using Soundwave, within 4s you can use it again with 75% reduced effectiveness.” (changed from “Gain 1 extra charge of Soundwave”).

Crowd Pleaser – Power

  • Healing now scales off of Soundwave’s Damage (changed from 20 Flat Healing scaling with Ability Power).

Let’s Bounce – Power

  • Bonus damage now scales off of Soundwave’s Damage (instead of 25 Flat Damage scaling with Ability Power).

Wallvibing – Power

  • Max Life Overhealth every 1s increased to 4% (up from 3%).

Mixtape – Power

  • Heal for every 1s Speed Boost was active increased to 75% of Crossfade Healing (up from 50%).

#1 Single- Rare Ability Hero Item

  • Cost increased to 4500 (up from 4000).

Hip Hop – Epic Survival Hero Item

  • Added 10% Weapon Power and 10% Ability Power.
  • Removed 25 Health.
  • Cost increased to 9500 (up from 9000).
Zenyatta

Developer Comments: We’ve buffed a couple of underused powers to encourage more build diversity. The goal is to make these options feel more rewarding so they can find their place in a wider variety of strategies.

Instant Karma – Power

  • Restore increased to 50% (Up from 30%).

Dual Harmony – Power

  • Healing Reduction decreased to 35% (Down from 40%).

Stratosphere Beacon – Common Weapon General Item

  • Rarity changed to Common (from Rare).
  • Cost reduced to 1500 (Down from 4000).
  • Bonus damage and slow to airborne enemies now procs from both Weapon and Ability damage.
  • Removed 5% Weapon Power.

Barrier Blaster – Epic Weapon General Item

  • Added increased damage and ammo refund on damage to deployables, such as Torbjörn’s Turret.

Liquid Nitrogen – Epic Ability General Item

  • Slow on Ability Damage reduced to 10% (Down from 20%).
  • Added 15% increased Slow to Bonus Move Speed, from abilities and items.

LumériCo Fusion Drive – Epic Ability General Item

  • Cost increased to 11000 (up from 10000).

Heartbeat Sensor – Common Survival General Item

  • Removed.

Reflex Coating – Common Survival General Item

  • New Item.
  • 25 Health.
  • When you are stunned, slept, or hindered, or anti-healed, gain 75 Overhealth for 3s. (20s Cooldown).
  • 1500 Cost.

Bug Fixes

General
  • Fixed an issue preventing Music Festival Charms from being equippable by all heroes.
  • Fixed an issue that caused an unresponsive state in Custom Game when attempting to escape after a draft concluded.
  • Fixed an issue that caused players that backfilled into a match in which Reaper was being played to experience low frame rates.
Heroes

Cassidy

  • Fixed an issue with Cassidy’s Silver Bullet occasionally not firing after using an ability.

Junker Queen

  • Fixed an issue with Junker Queen that caused her to be affected by flashbangs while using Rampage with the Rampant Charge perk equipped.

Wuyang

  • Fixed an issue which caused Wuyang’s Restorative Stream to have a longer range than intended.
Stadium

General

  • Fixed an issue that forced the team to exit a QP Stadium match if a user joined or was invited to the group during the match.
  • Fixed an issue where Ultimate Charge gain from Healing was not being normalized by your Weapon Power and Ability Power.

Junker Queen

  • Fixed an issue where Junker Queen’s Bigger Magnet mod did not increase the pull force of Jagged Blade.

Mercy

  • Fixed an issue where Mercy’s Supply Surge power did not count as an ability toward Hardlight Accelerator.

Pharah

  • Fixed an issue where Pharah’s Launch Vector power did not grant ultimate charge.

Previously, a major Overwatch 2 update 3.94 added a new game mode – Hero Mastery as well as various changes to heroes, including damage adjustments, cooldown tweaks, and improvements to abilities. Today’s Overwatch 2 patch 1.000.076 will fix a few of these issues.
