Overwatch 2 Update 4.05 Patch Notes (OW2 version 1.000.069)

Overwatch 2 Update 4.05 is now available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official OW2 Update 1.000.069 patch notes, this Midseason update brings Better Together and Junkrat’s Loot Hunt events with free Loot Boxes. Competitive Drives return with improved progression. Tank and Damage heroes receive key perk adjustments for balance. Flashpoint maps updated for better readability, flow, and stronger visuals. Today’s OW2 Update 1.000.069 also includes quality-of-life improvements enhance third-person camera, UI tooltips, and Armory item consistency.

  • Complete 2, 5, and 10 matches daily for up to 3 Loot Boxes per day / 9 total.

New Tag Improvements

  • “Mark All as Seen” button returns to Hero Gallery.

  • Previously owned cosmetics now marked as “New”; easily dismissable.

  • Prestige upgrade for players completing previous Drives.

  • Drive progress now counts in Competitive Play and Stadium Ranked.

  • Fixed an issue with Soldier’s animation while using the “Stim Pack” perk and sprinting.

  • Fixed an issue where a user’s Career Profile displayed incorrect data for Stadium games.
  • Fixed an issue that caused animations to stop playing on certain abilities after death.

  • Fixed an issue with Ana’s “Dreamy” Power incorrectly doubling the damage of her Sleep Dart.

Junker Queen

  • Fixed an issue with Junker Queen’s “Let’s Go Win” power not reducing the Commanding Shout cooldown by the stated 50%.

Kiriko

  • Fixed an issue with Kiriko’s “Clone Conjuration” power where her clone would not always award bounty currency correctly.

Reinhardt

  • Fixed an issue with Reinhardt that caused Barrier Field to shift slightly upward while jumping.

Sigma

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Sigma “Perfected Barrier” and “Orbital Bombardment” challenges from progressing.

Previously, a major Overwatch 2 update 3.94 added a new game mode – Hero Mastery as well as various changes to heroes, including damage adjustments, cooldown tweaks, and improvements to abilities. Today’s Overwatch 2 patch 1.000.069 will fix a few of these issues.
