Blizzard has released a new Overwatch 2 update 3.86 on PS4, PS5(1.000.051), PC, and Xbox One. According to the official OW2 3.86 patch notes, the latest Season 13 update introduces a My Hero Academia collaboration, a new Halloween event with game modes, and Hero Mastery challenges. Apart from this, OW2 update 3.86 also includes various hero and map changes.

Halloween Terror 2024 (Oct 31 – Nov 12)
- New PvP Mode: “Junkenstein’s Laboratory” with cursed talent cards.
- Return of Junkenstein’s Revenge (co-op zombie horde mode) and Wrath of the Bride (PvE adventure with puzzles and haunted environments).
Hero Mastery Mode – Cassidy & Brigitte
- Cassidy and Brigitte added to Hero Mastery Mode.
- Complete challenges to earn exclusive rewards and Battle Pass XP.
General Updates
- Interactive Scoreboard: Now allows for mic volume adjustment, reporting, joining/leaving voice/text chats, and muting players.
- Matchmaking Updates: Reduced queue times, tighter role matching, prioritization of Tank role matching, and group benefits consideration at higher ranks.
- Public Custom Games: Hosting public games now requires Endorsement Level 3.
- Streamer Protect: “Hide My Name” feature now locked behind the Unrelenting Hero Lifetime Challenge.
Competitive Updates
- Top 500 Leaderboard: Reduced win requirement (50 → 25 wins). Seasoned Competitor challenge now required for Top 500 eligibility.
Hero Updates
Mauga
- Incendiary Chaingun: Ignite damage duration increased (3s → 4s).
Ramattra
- Pummel: No longer pierces barriers but deals 2.5x damage to them.
Sojourn
- Railgun: Energy degeneration delay increased (7s → 12s).
- Disruptor Shot: Damage increased (60 → 80 DPS) and generates Railgun energy from damage dealt.
Sombra
- Hack: No longer ends stealth but reveals Sombra; ability lockout reduced.
- Stealth: Now a timed ability (5s), revealing on damage.
- Translocator: Cooldown increased (5s → 7s).
Map Updates
- Clash Mode: Capture time adjusted to make final objectives easier for attackers. Respawn adjustments made for defenders.
- Various Maps: Adjustments to spawn camping, cover options, and sightlines on Circuit Royal, Dorado, Havana, and Numbani.
Bug Fixes
GENERAL
- We are providing two tier skips as a bonus this patch because of the issue with challenge progress not being track when queueing for all roles in the Clash game mode.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing Role Queue Mystery Heroes from counting towards Mystery Heroes lifetime challenges.
- Fixed an issue that was causing Xbox Game Pass skins to become unequipped and unfavorited after logging off.
- Fixed an issue that was causing some voice lines to not play in select Invasion Missions.
- Fixed an issue with the default allied health bar setting on certain heroes.
- In a previous update, fixed an issue making ledge grab more intuitive.
HEROES
Ashe
- In a previous update, fixed an unintended delay between Ashe’s scoped and unscoped fire rate.
Reaper
- Fixed an issue where mythic Reaper emerging out of Shadowstep was not playing custom sound.
Ramattra
- Fixed an unintended armor interaction between Brig’s Rally and Rammatra’s Nemesis Form.
Previously, a major Overwatch 2 update 3.60 added a new game mode – Hero Mastery as well as various changes to heroes, including damage adjustments, cooldown tweaks, and improvements to abilities. Today’s Overwatch 2 patch 3.86 will fix a few of these issues.
