Overwatch 2 (OW2) Update 3.85 Patch Notes (1.000.050)

Blizzard has released a new Overwatch 2 update 3.85 on PS4, PS5(1.000.050), PC, and Xbox One. According to the official OW2 3.85 patch notes, the latest update addresses issues with challenge tracking, skin favoriting, voice lines, and multiple hero interactions. Apart from this, OW2 update 3.85 also adds a two-tier skip bonus due to Clash game mode issues.

OW2 Update 3.85 patch notes (version 1.000.050) – October 1, 2024

General

  • Tier Skip Bonus: Two tier skips are awarded as compensation for the challenge progress issue when queuing for all roles in the Clash game mode.
  • Role Queue Mystery Heroes: Fixed a bug preventing Mystery Heroes matches from counting toward lifetime challenges.
  • Xbox Game Pass Skins: Resolved an issue where skins would become unequipped and unfavorited after logging out.
  • Voice Lines: Fixed an issue causing certain voice lines to not play in select Invasion Missions.
  • Allied Health Bar: Corrected an issue with the default allied health bar setting on certain heroes.
  • Ledge Grab: Improved ledge grab functionality to be more intuitive from a previous update.

Heroes

Ashe
  • Scoped/Unscoped Fire Rate: Resolved an unintended delay between scoped and unscoped fire rate from a previous update.
Reaper
  • Shadowstep Sound: Fixed an issue where the mythic Reaper’s custom sound was not playing when emerging out of Shadowstep.
Ramattra
  • Armor Interaction: Fixed an unintended armor interaction between Brigitte’s Rally and Ramattra’s Nemesis Form.

Previously, a major Overwatch 2 update 3.60 added a new game mode – Hero Mastery as well as various changes to heroes, including damage adjustments, cooldown tweaks, and improvements to abilities. Today’s Overwatch 2 patch 3.84 will fix a few of these issues.
