Overwatch 2 (OW2) Update 3.83 Patch Notes (1.000.048)

Blizzard has released a new Overwatch 2 update 3.83 on PS4, PS5(1.000.048), PC, and Xbox One. According to the official OW2 3.83 patch notes, the latest update nerfs damage received for Winston, Ashe, and Sombra, while Juno’s fire rate is increased with reduced healing and damage. Apart from this, OW2 update 3.83 also includes resolves various bugs, including FPS drops and rank display issues.

Patch 3.83 Summary:

  • Winston’s Tesla Cannon damage slightly reduced.
  • Ashe’s Viper reload time and primary fire damage reduced.
  • Sombra’s Virus DOT (Damage Over Time) reduced.
  • Juno’s Mediblaster fire rate increased, but both damage and healing reduced.
  • Various bug fixes including rank display issues and FPS drops on PlayStation® 5.

Winston

  • Tesla Cannon
    • Damage per second reduced: 75 → 70.

Damage

Ashe

  • The Viper
    • Reload per bullet increased: 0.2 → 0.25 seconds.
    • Primary fire damage reduced: 40 → 35.

Sombra

  • Virus
    • Damage over time reduced: 90 → 75.

Support

Juno

  • Mediblaster
    • Fire rate increased: 14.3 → 15.5 (reverted to 34 shots per second during volley).
    • Damage reduced: 8 → 7.5.
    • Healing reduced: 7 → 6.5.

Bug Fixes

General

  • Fixed a bug where heroes were occasionally pulled down during ledge mantles.
  • Badges and emblems now properly reflect player rank.
  • Fixed large FPS drops at match start/end on PlayStation® 5.
  • Resolved an issue where the avoid list wasn’t respected during backfills.

Heroes

  • Doomfist
    • Fixed stretched texture on Doomfist’s BAST skin.
Previously, a major Overwatch 2 update 3.60 added a new game mode – Hero Mastery as well as various changes to heroes, including damage adjustments, cooldown tweaks, and improvements to abilities. Today’s Overwatch 2 patch 3.83 will fix a few of these issues.
