Blizzard has released a new Overwatch 2 update 3.82 on PS4, PS5(1.000.047), PC, and Xbox One. According to the official OW2 3.82 patch notes, Season 12 brings new content with Juno as a Support hero, the new Clash game mode, and exciting maps. Hero updates, including Zarya and Pharah Mastery challenges, are now available. Apart from this, OW2 update 3.82 also brings major respawn system changes and a mid-year Competitive Rank reset offer fresh gameplay dynamics.

New Content and Features
New Hero – Juno (Support)
- Mediblaster: Dual-purpose weapon, providing healing and damage.
- Pulsar Torpedoes: Offers healing and damage impact; Healing-over-time reduced to balance.
- Hyper Ring: Increases team movement speed for faster engagements; improved deploy range and cooldown.
- Lore: Juno originates from Mars, determined to save her home amidst a planetary crisis.
New Game Mode – Clash
- Core Features: 5-objective linear map, with only one active at a time.
- Objective Points: A and E points are worth three segments, boosting the win potential.
- Winning Conditions: Capture objectives for a total of five points or secure the final capture.
- Available Maps: Hanaoka and Throne of Anubis.
New Clash Map – Throne of Anubis
- Lore: Set in a temple tied to the origins of the Omnic Crisis.
- Design: Historical tension surrounds the Throne, where ancient power is quarantined.
Hero Mastery Updates
- New Courses: Pharah and Zarya Hero Mastery courses are available.
- Challenges: Participate in special events from August 20 to September 3.
- Rewards: Earn up to 22,500 Battle Pass XP and exclusive rewards.
General Gameplay Updates
Spawn System Changes
- Wave Respawn: Replaces Group Respawn for non-Competitive modes and introduced to Competitive.
- Respawn Time: Increased to 12 seconds, with overtime adjusted to 14 seconds.
- Wave Dynamics: Heroes that die close together respawn in sync; solo heroes respawn faster.
Avoid As Teammate
- Expanded Slots: 15 total avoid slots (3 Pinned, 12 Recent).
- Pinned Slots: Permanent until manually removed.
- Recent Slots: Automatically expire after 7 days but can be refreshed.
Competitive Play Updates
- Mid-Year Rank Reset: All players’ skill ranks reset, with new placements required.
- Predicted Rank: Now visible at all times for personal reference and better matchmaking.
Hero Balance and Adjustments
Tank
- D.Va: Defense Matrix duration reduced.
- Orisa: Increased Energy Javelin impact damage.
- Zarya: Enhanced secondary fire damage.
Damage
- Echo, Hanzo: Base health reduced to 225.
- Junkrat: Improved control with ricocheting grenades.
- Sojourn: Primary fire accuracy increased.
- Sombra: Stealth speed and Virus damage improved.
- Torbjörn: Increased armor for better survivability.
Support
- Illari: Reduced ammo for Solar Rifle and Captive Sun adjustments.
- Juno: Utility increased, with slight healing output reduction.
- Kiriko, Mercy, Moira, Lúcio: Base health reduced to 225 with various damage and healing adjustments.
Hero Quality of Life Updates
- Juno: Improved visuals and sounds for Mediblaster, Pulsar Torpedoes, and Hyper Ring.
- Lifeweaver: Adjusted Healing Blossom charging and Petal Platform functionality.
- Kiriko: Damage adjustments with better critical hit balance.
Shop and Cosmetic Updates
- Skins: Mythic Anubis Reaper and Midnight Sun Ana skins are now available.
- Try Before You Buy: All skins can now be tested in the practice range.
Map and Game Mode Enhancements
- Flashpoint: Movement speed boost added for faster capture points.
- Push Mode: Bot collision adjusted to improve gameplay balance.
- Lighting Scenarios: Now randomized for better map variety.
Previously, a major Overwatch 2 update 3.60 added a new game mode – Hero Mastery as well as various changes to heroes, including damage adjustments, cooldown tweaks, and improvements to abilities. Today’s Overwatch 2 patch 3.82 will fix a few of these issues.
