Overwatch 2 (OW2) Update 3.77 Patch Notes

Blizzard has released a new Overwatch 2 update 3.77 on PS4, PS5(1.000.041), PC, and Xbox One. According to the official OW2 3.77 patch notes, the latest OW2 update brings a new collaboration with Porsche, introducing Legendary skins and cosmetics. Apart from this, OW2 update 3.77 also includes several competitive play adjustments, matchmaking improvements, hero changes, and bug fixes across the game.

Previously, a major Overwatch 2 update 3.60 added a new game mode – Hero Mastery as well as various changes to heroes, including damage adjustments, cooldown tweaks, and improvements to abilities. Today’s Overwatch 2 patch 3.77 will fix a few of these issues.

DRIVE TO VICTORY

• Electrify the battlefield with the co-designed collab Porsche D.Va and Porsche Pharah Legendary skins, available in the shop.
• Porsche D.Va Legendary Skin: D.Va gets a sleek makeover inspired by the all-electric Porsche Macan Turbo, featuring exclusive paint textures and custom sound effects. The stunning design integrates elements like distinct headlights, coil suspension, and brake calipers, plus a luxury interior. Bundle includes the Test Drive Highlight Intro, Night Drive name card, Porsche avatar, and the Sweet Ride spray.

• Porsche Pharah Legendary Skin: Pharah charges into battle in a combat suit infused with the essence of the all-electric Porsche Taycan. Experience the thrill of flight with sleek lights, forged wheels, and tinted glass. Bundle includes the Porsche Flight name card.

CHALLENGE AND EARN

• Charge through challenges: During the collaboration event, earn up to 40,000 Battle Pass XP, Porsche and Zero to Sixty name cards, and the Porsche Drift spray.

EVENT DETAILS

• Duration: Enjoy this turbocharged collaboration event in-game until May 27. Shop Bundles available through June 3.

Overwatch 2 x Porsche Collaboration

• Overwatch 2 and Porsche have teamed up for an electric collaboration
• This event features Legendary Porsche D.Va and Porsche Pharah skins available in the Premium Shop
• Players can also earn other free Porsche-themed cosmetics through event challenges, running now through June 3

Competitive Play Updates

Demotion Protection Modifier

• The Demotion Protection modifier has been moved from below the Rank Progress bar into the bar itself, improving visibility when a player is in a Demotion Protection state
• When Demoption Protection occurs, players will no longer be notified when their progress is below the skill division’s range
• If a player loses their Demotion match, the Skill Rank adjustment will only show the adjustment from that match, instead of the net total of that match and the previous match’s adjustment

New – Pressure Competitive Modifier

• This rank modifier appears for players at the far ends of the overall skill distribution
• For very high ranked players (like Champion), this modifier will show when they don’t earn as much progress from winning a match or drop more progress for losing a match
• For very low ranked players (like low Bronze), this modifier will show when they earn more progress for winning a match or drop less progress for losing a match
• This new modifier was added to show how the system is pushing the highest and lowest-skill players toward a more average Rank
• Climbing to the highest skill tiers like Grand Masters or Champions is not intended to be easy, and overcoming Pressure to reach the top is no longer a hidden challenge

Grouping Restrictions

• The Skill Tier legend was updated to show the changes to grouping restrictions applied in a previous update:
  • Grand Master can now group within 3 divisions to be considered a narrow group
  • Champion can now group within 1 division to be considered a narrow group
• These changes are aimed at reducing queue times for players and groups, especially for higher ranks

Matchmaking Updates

• When a player is on a loss streak, the matchmaker will try to avoid putting them on a team that is statistically calculated to have a lower chance of winning
• This is intended to help players break their loss streak by giving them a slightly higher chance of winning their next match

Hero Updates

General

• Armor health has been reverted to provide a flat damage reduction of 5 per projectile, up to a maximum of 50% damage reduction
• Out-of-combat health regeneration changed from 20 health per second to 10 health per second + 5% of maximum health

Tanks

• Tanks now have 25% damage reduction against critical headshot damage
• Knockback resistance increased from 30% to 50%
• These changes are aimed at reducing the feeling of tanks being taken out too quickly by high bursts of damage

Junker Queen

• Commanding Shout can now be activated while using other abilities
• Commanding Shout cooldown reduced from 14 to 12 seconds

Sigma

• Gravitic Flux no longer requires line of sight to the center of the effect

Wrecking Ball

• Grappling Claw impact damage increased from 50 to 60
• Piledriver movement lockout duration for enemies increased from 0.5 to 0.75 seconds
• Minefield damage increased from 130 to 165, and explosion knockback increased from 5 to 10

Zarya

• Graviton Surge radius increased from 6 to 7 meters
• Graviton Surge duration increased from 3.5 to 4 seconds

Damage

Junkrat

• Frag Launcher impact damage increased from 40 to 45 (Total damage increased from 120 to 125)

Echo

• Duplicate ultimate gain multiplier while transformed increased from 4 to 4.5

Hanzo

• Dragonstrike speed increased from 12 to 15 meters per second

Support

Brigitte

• Rally now resets Shield Bash cooldown upon activation

Bug Fixes

• Fixed various bugs across maps and heroes, including issues with Mirrorwatch stats, Competitive Progress, and hero abilities.
