No Mans Sky update 5.073 (version 5.073.000) is available to download on PS5 and Xbox Series X players. According to the official No Mans Sky 5.073 patch notes, the NMS update delivers extensive settlement fixes, including improved NPC behavior, data initialization, UI clarity, and new distress scan utilities. It restores mission progress, corrects visual and inventory bugs. Apart from this, No Mans Sky version 5.073 also enhances platform-specific stability (notably Xbox and Switch), and addresses multiple rare crashes.

Previously, a major free No Man’s Sky update 5.50 (Worlds Part 2) added new stars, ancient ruins, gas giants, and water worlds with improved lighting and water rendering. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues. NMS update 5.073 will fix a few of these issues.
