According to the official No Mans Sky 5.057 patch notes, the latest update brings key fixes to expeditions, missions, UI, and VR. Apart from this, No Mans Sky version 5.057 also addresses flickering notifications, lost custom names, mission inconsistencies, and performance issues.

Expedition Fixes
- Fixed flickering notification messages in the Hazard Pay milestone of the Titan expedition.
- Resolved an issue preventing an underwater crashed freighter from spawning at the second rendezvous point.
- Implemented a recovery method for lost hyperdrives in the Titan expedition.
Mission Fixes
- Fixed an issue causing Specialist Polo to repeat dialogue in the In Stellar Multitudes mission.
- Resolved an issue preventing In Stellar Multitudes from detecting dissonant planets while on the Space Anomaly.
- Fixed a rare bug stopping the first purple star system from being restored.
Customization Fixes
- Fixed an issue where ships lost custom names when returning from an expedition.
- Fixed an issue where Multi-Tools lost custom names after an expedition.
User Interface & Performance Fixes
- Fixed UI inconsistencies in hold-to-confirm popups when overlapping buttons.
- Resolved a color mismatch in dialogue box titles based on the speaker’s race.
- Addressed a significant framerate drop when practicing alien languages.
Gameplay & VR Fixes
- Fixed an issue preventing the Surge Battery recipe from being learned in Abandoned Mode.
- Resolved a PCVR bug causing the game to hang when changing graphics options.
Previously, a major free No Man’s Sky update 5.50 (Worlds Part 2) added new stars, ancient ruins, gas giants, and water worlds with improved lighting and water rendering. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues. NMS update 5.057 will fix a few of these issues.
