According to the official No Mans Sky 5.051 patch notes, the latest addresses various gameplay, graphical, and stability issues, including fixes for planetary harvesting, missing discoveries, and PS5 performance. Apart from this, No Mans Sky version 5.051.000 also fixes crashes related to networking and guild donations.

Gameplay

• Fixed an issue preventing certain new materials from being harvested by planetary extractors.
• Resolved a bug where some scanned flora and mineral discoveries did not appear in the discoveries list.

• Fixed a rare graphical glitch causing some creature models to visually distort and “explode.”

Performance & Stability

• Fixed an issue causing occasional game hangs on PS5.
• Resolved a networking-related crash.
• Fixed a crash that could occur when donating items to a guild envoy.

Previously, a major free No Man’s Sky update 5.50 (Worlds Part 2) added new stars, ancient ruins, gas giants, and water worlds with improved lighting and water rendering. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues. NMS update 5.051 will fix a few of these issues.
