According to the official No Mans Sky 5.021 patch notes, the latest update resolves gameplay crashes and enhances save game reliability across all platforms, especially on Xbox. Gameplay Stability
- Egg Sequencer Crash: Addressed a crash occurring when using the Egg Sequencer to modify the reward egg from The Cursed Expedition.
Save Game Improvements
- Save Loading: Fixed a rare issue preventing some save games from loading properly.
- Xbox Save Visibility: Resolved an issue where some Xbox save games were hidden on the save select screen.
- Note: Some players may see lower than expected play times on restored saves; these saves can still be accessed and switched to the Restore Point via the pause menu.
VR-Specific Fixes
- Particle Flickering: Fixed an issue causing particle effects to flicker in VR mode.
- Portal Softlock: Resolved a softlock causing a white screen when using portals in VR during The Cursed Expedition mission.
Previously, a major free No Man’s Sky update 4.40 added a relaxed mode, overhauled inventories, revamped UI, and improved missions. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues. NMS update 5.021 will fix a few of these issues.
