NMS Patch 6.05 Summary

Starship & Corvette Fixes

  • New Decoration: Added a new Thermal Grille Cap structural part for Corvette customization.

  • Fixed Teleportation: Resolved an issue preventing players from teleporting to their Corvette when it was docked on a summoned Freighter.

  • Landing & Collision:

    • Fixed invisible collision on Corvette landing pads.

    • Fixed Corvette landing gear collision issues.

  • Visual & Technical Polish:

    • Fixed visual issues with the Rounded Window part.

    • Polish applied to several internal Corvette pieces.

    • Corvettes now spawn correctly in player bases after teleporting.

    • Added an option to apply color and material changes to all parts of a Corvette at once.

    • Improved the visibility of planetary teleport point markers for Corvettes.

    • Fixed a bug causing Refiners placed on Corvettes to lose their materials.

    • Fixed Corvette teleporters being deployed underground.

  • Base Rendering: Fixed an issue where Freighter bases could be visible from the outside.

  • Ship Spawning: Fixed ships spawning in incorrect positions when loading a save aboard a Freighter.

  • Hangar Doors: Fixed Freighter hangar doors sometimes remaining closed.

  • Quick Menu: Enabled the “Dismiss Freighter” option in the Quick Menu while spacewalking.

Controls & Customization (Console Focus)

  • Control Rebinding: Fixed the interact icon not appearing when rebinding controls on consoles.

  • Custom Bindings: Fixed issues preventing players from creating custom bindings for actions that lacked a default binding.

  • Save Issues: Fixed a bug preventing consoles from saving customized controller bindings.

Discoveries, Companions & Missions

  • Discoveries Page: Fixed companion accessories incorrectly appearing on wild creatures and some creatures appearing transparent.

  • Nutrient Processor: Improved the warning message when attempting to pick up a non-empty Nutrient Processor.

  • Mission Fixes:

    • Fixed The Race force amplifier not providing a boost to Exocraft vehicles.

    • Fixed incorrect objective display for Space Anomaly missions.

    • Fixed Specialist Polo’s dialogue getting stuck in the early stages of the mission chain.

  • Multiplayer: Fixed incorrect group member icon colors.

Virtual Reality (VR) Enhancements

  • Build Mode: VR players are now correctly returned to the terminal after exiting Corvette build mode.

  • Build Menu: Fixed the VR build menu showing incorrect options for parts not snapped to the Corvette.

  • Seat Exiting: Decreased the distance needed to push down on Corvette seat handles to exit in VR.

  • Crosshair: Fixed an offset crosshair issue inside Corvettes in VR.

  • Software Upgrade: Upgraded to OpenVR version 2.12.14 for improved compatibility and performance.

Performance & Stability

  • Platform-Specific:

    • Xbox: Memory optimizations for a smoother experience.

    • PSVR2: Fixed a visual issue affecting foliage.

    • PS5: Resolved a separate visual glitch.
